Unplayable - FPS drops
Aside from in menus, my frames never reach above 40ish and often drops from about 30 to 12 without any change to what is on screen.
I have run it at 1080p on the lowest settings with ultra performance dlss and still hit about 40 max and often drops down to about 15.

The first two hours wasn't so bad, I could actually run the game at 30+ at the very least on 4k ultra settings. I have no clue why this performance is happening or why changing the settings does very little if anything in most cases.

Do you get that FPS drop when you try to pick up items? Mine runs fine until i try to pick up an item, then it drops to <12 fps

I haven't noticed any drops when picking up items no, only overall over time. If I restart the game I can usually get most of the frames back for them to deteriorate again.

I fixed mine by Updating the GPU drivers to the lastest patch, works well now.

It looks like that's also the official recommendation:

Anyone got any ideas why this could be?
Some are saying theirs runs ok even on lower hardware.

1.06 is the most probable cause. I have 55 hours logged, and most of my playtime is on 1.05 and prior versions. Everything was buttery smooth until 1.06. Now I am experiencing all kinds of performance issues and glitches.

Here's a quick list of problems I've seen in 1.06:
- Auto-saving randomly crashes the audio, reference
- Long sync times after exiting makes the game appear frozen in PLAY mode, reference
- Physic issues with palms trees at the Grand Imperial Mall, reference
- Random UI glitches, reference

I've stopped playing until the devs can patch things.

maybe try reinstalling the previous driver? Im still using the one when CP released with a 2080 and get a buttery smooth 80-100 fps at 1080 on Ultra/Very high, RT medium, DLSS balanced

My game and video drivers are up to date, and my drivers have been clean installed.
I did everything suggested on their website. I also got in contact with CDPR with their ticket thing but got no indication it went through.

i blaim the game engine, it doesnt scale well despite todays hardware... give it a few years it will improve i guess...

My best guess is that it is a a memory leak problem introduced with 1.06. If that is the case it is up to the devs to fix it.

Having the same issue. Pretty sure its a bug with ray tracing introduced with latest patch. I have a 2070 founders, native 4k, some settings on high, most settings on low to med, dlss on ultra performance, i get a steady 34-40 fps with rtx on and 60 with rtx off (bottlenecked by an old i7 960 cpu). It runs fine for a random amount of time, then if i crash my car or enter combat the fps tanks and my cpu utilization drops in relation to the amount of frames lost. Turning rtx off at this point will get the cpu usage back up, but im still missing frames(40-50 instead of 60+) and have to restart the game to get them back. 169 hours played so far and only having this issue since 1.6.

Yeah, I am in the exact same boat as you.

It's almost certainly a problem with your CPU, and by "a problem," I mean Cyberpunk has a problem with it not that it's a problem in general. If you're playing at 1080p, it's taxing your CPU. You might actually do better at 1440p, which would put more stress on your GPU.

It could also be something that has to do with certain abilities. For some reason, whenever I have the sonic shock quickhack on my operating system, the game becomes incredibly slow, and my fps drops to accordingly. I believe that other people reported other quickhacks doing the same thing. So if you're running quickhacks, try swapping out some of them or removing all of them temporarily, and see if that helps your game performance.

I'm at the start of the game really, not had much to do yet. The Fps drops are simply over time, even if I stand doing nothing.
I also have tried running the game in all resolutions including up to 4k and down to the lowest potato resolution.

I sent the following Frame rate list to CDPR. Does any one else's issue somewhat align with this?
