How to get from here to there?

In the dogtown parking garage, just before the "exit", I can see a van a bit further on in the distance:

and it has some interesting looking loot (that orange dot in the center of the screen is not a part of my targeting reticle - it's something in the van):

But, I do not see a way of getting there, nor do I see a way of getting back if I should manage to get there. (Also, saves are disabled for me here, so I am not inclined to experiment.)

Has anyone figured out a way of getting there? (If you have, you do not have to tell me your secrets - though I would not object to a few clues. But I am curious about what you found there, and a screenshot would be great.)

I visited all the parking decks and the catwalk from the "starting area". A lot of funny jumping =) Main trick is to use the "double jump" legs and run'n jump. AFAIK the last segment I reached by doing a long jump from the "target catwalk" (which you have to reach in order to leave the parking deck) After that, it's just a matter of jumping and climbing again.

Odd. You should be able to save - I quicksaved a lot in there.

Thanks, I had saved a lot previously, but something about hitting that part of the garage stopped me from making further saves.
