"Just another story" bugged?

In the "Just another story" quest I found the Shion with the antenna. I get in, listen to the Captain, wait for the scan to finish, drive off. I turn two corners, the quest breaks off as failed.

I stayed precisely on the track shown on the mini-map. No enemy contact, nothing that indicates I'm not doing what I'm supposed to do. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

I can't drive the car at all. I get in and as soon as I accelerate V ends the call and steps out of the car. cannot progress the mission passed the cars spawn point.

You have to be really fast at the beginning or the car you are supposed to follow gets out of distance (I had the same Issue)
