Beaching used to be needed to front load stuff like turret hacks and the such. But now you can just do that as a thing.
The big change is ram costs and how you recover ram.
Over all ram costs are up and some guys have resistances which raise the costs even more.
So its is about getting more ram (from int and cyberware) and stacking recovery. Which you can get passive from cyberware and perks, or actively from perks and cyberware via killing tragets.
Netrunning is much rougher early game when you dont have a lot of this stuff so you will be less a netrunner and more a street punk that can do a few hacks.
But it is just as op as it always was mid to late game you can still delete whole groups without pulling a gun. and if you do want to mix it up now there is a bunch of perks for smart weapons and monowire were you can be hacking people in the middle of a fire fight getting your ram back and stacking hacks on people faster with every smart weapon hit and kill and monowire murder
One before you could just get the deck you wanted and some good headware, and ignore the rest of the cyberware if you wanted.
You can't do that anymore. Cyberware comes with stats, and some of those stats boost netrunning skills. You want to pick cyberware that boosts your netrunning stats (or compliments netrunning, so ironically thermal monowire).
The next big change is combos. Prior you could just dump a combat hack on someone and watch them die. You can't do that anymore. A lot of hacks now work better if you put them on someone effected by other hacks already.
Control hacks boost damage. Certain hacks being done after other hacks have a bigger effect. So dropping contagion on someone then queuing overheat on someone (or the above said thermal monowire) will now cause a huge explosion.
