What the heck is Cold Blood and Mitigation? Also Crit damage and Crit chance?
Despite putting some Perks and points into the Cool attribute, I'm still not exactly sure what it means. Mentally I translate it as 'courage under fire', but I'd like a clearer explanation.

Similarly, I don't understand what Mitigation is all about. What does it do, exactly? Crit Damage and Crit Chance, same thing. How is it different from regular damage?

I'm not a 'gamer', so please explain in simple terms, if you care to.

Mitigation I don't know but cold blood happens when you kill in stealth

Mitigation reduces the amount of damage taken when you get hit. Like if you have a mitigation chance of 20 and strength of 65, then you have a 20% chance to take 65% less damage from enemy attacks.

Cold Blood gives you a buff to movement speed and depending on what perks you have, it can increase attack speed with melee weapons, decrease the amount of time quickhacks take to upload, and increase armor and resistances while active.

Crit chance is the chance that you hit for more damage than normal. I game terms a critical hit. Crit damage is the extra damage done on a critical hit. If I remember correctly the damage is a percentage of the regular damage.

That all seems very theoretical and complex, but it gives me some understanding. Thank you.

"Cold Blood" blood isn't really something that can can be translates to IRL, but its a quite common game mechanic nowadays. Other games often call it simply 'adrenaline' or somthing similar.
It simply means you get a bonus every time you perform an offensive action (attacking/beating an opponent), and these boni stack but they also decay fast. So the more you kill, the better you get at killing... for a while.
This simply encourages an aggresive, high risk playstyle. Normaly slow and stealthy is superior (and still is imho) and some feel this can get boring, so 'Cold blood' gives you and incentive to charge in.

When you kill an enemy, if you have the cold blood perk, then you get the cold blood buff.
(buff = bonus to stats, what this is exactly depends on which cold blood perks you have.)

If you kill enemies while cold blood is active it gives you experience in cold blood, so to get that skill up you need to kill as many enemies as possible as quickly as possible.

Cold Blood 'stacks' = you can get the bonus multiple times.
(up to a limit of 5x if you have the right perks)
