BROKEN MAIN QUEST: Automatic love

I am at the part where you have to go find information from Clouds about Evelyn. The receptionist wants me to jack in so they can do a "personality scan" or something. First time around I just went for this, had the doll experience, then went up to the VIP area in the normal way.

However, on 2nd playthrough, i wanted to approach things differently, so i opted not to go for the scan, but instead went into the club (the doors are open until you get a bit further through the receptionist dialogue, then they are closed until you "deposit your weapons". Again, I got up into the VIP area and eventually got detected and the shooting began. I quickhacked everyone, but couldn't get into the major character's rooms in the VIP bit. So left the club.

As I left many doors closed behind me and became "locked". But I've come back to the club now, and decided to just let the receptionist scanned me, and do all of the above. I am now stuck. The VIP doors are locked shut, and I cant even get out to the main entrance to do anything else because the main doors shut and locked when I entered, meaning I'm literally stuck wandering around the ground floor of clouds with no way out.

For anyone whoever might find this, there is in fact a way out, there is a vent you can go through to ecaped from the locked zone.
