Cyberpunk 2077
Impossible hack of just two numbers?!
I need to hack with a deamon T-bug gave me (ping). It's a whopping 2 numbers 1c and 55. But the combination is simply not possible in the code matrix. Like really there ins't or I am insane. there is just one row to use with 1c in it and then the row that is activated has no 55 option in it.
Anyone else encountered this problem? Can't finish the quest this way :/

If I don't see a combination to hit all the lines I want during a hack, I reset it by backing out of it, and going back in.

I've definitely seen some weird possibilities show up, including some situations where it wasn't possible.

Thanks this is a little tutorial type of thing in the shop where I got the hack. So maybe that's why even after restarting the game, it asked for the same combination, with the same options or something I dunno.
I will check in on the quest again tomorrow
It's basically a Word Search. Plan ahead & think. Starts Horizontal, then goes Vertical Row you pick number off back to Horizontal off that number you pick, etc.. etc.. etc..

Sometimes you have to make a sacrifice to get to row setups you want. Not a hard puzzle, but then again you have to have done and possibly like Word Searches or Crossword Puzzles

I know how it works I have done some before :) but in this tutorial(which is way after the intro tutorial) only one row is active somehow, and the only row you choose leaves you no option to choose 55. So you choose another number which makes the hack fail.

Thats what the "Buffer" is for. [ Squares on top ]
You can place non relevant code in the "Buffer"

So if the first line doesn't have it you can pick a random choice which does include a column that has it. The "Maximum Buffer" is how many letters you can place before the hack ends.

Hm not sure what you mean with non relevant code, as far as I know it works like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1eyBEMGsoE

That is what I have been using so far and that has worked.
But in this case by using that system I am unable to complete the 2 number hack. because the only row(horizontal) with 1c in it has no option to choose 55 in the vertical row that is then activated.

I have tried your way too but adding non relevant code results in an error

So am totally confused right now and I feel kinda dumb, never a good feeling :/
Sequence is 1C 55, you need to start in the top horizontal row.
Show me how stupid I am by hacking it :)

E9 BD 55 1C

E9 1C BD BD

1C BD 55 E9

55 E9 1C BD

E9 1C BD BD

The first symbol you select in the top row is a gimme. It doesn't have to match any of the sequences you're trying to hack.

E9 BD 55 1C
E9 1C BD BD
1C BD 55 E9
55 E9 1C BD

Ok nice that worked thanks! But why the E9 is redundant is still confusing to me though, because I tried 1C,E9,55 first and that didn't work :)

They do need to be consecutive. 1C has to be followed by 55 to count as a success. Sticking E9 in the middle breaks the sequence.

If the first thing you select is in the sequence, then it'll be used. Otherwise, it's ignored and it'll start matching at the second thing you select. The first symbol is the only time that a symbol will be used/ignored as needed. After that, you better have them all in a row.

Hm ok man thanks, would not have figured this out by myself :D
