Should I start over?

I played the mission where Jack and V do the heist and Jack dies, but i also died because Dex shot me, and now im playing as johnny and even if i think keanu reeves is cool i still want to play as V and not john wick. so I guess i messed up with the choices in the dialogue so should i just start over cause i want to keep playing as V even if jack dies ??

please help

So i somehow also ended up dying with johnny and died about 5 times after that too i guess i just bad at the game or is this all part of the story plot?

Edit to add - Your first playthrough, that first Act (& even the whole playthrough) is a bit of a learning curve. There's a lot to take in. You'll get decent at it after a while

all deaths were "dialogue" or scenes ones not actual gameplay, like i picked wrong choice. is it part of the story to die 7 times?

1st death) dex shoot me in head
2nd death) i forgot the name some robocop guy shoot me on a roof as johnny
3rd death) somehow wake up in a dumpster yard and dex is there again and kills me again
4th death) see the japan guy kill dex then he kills me
5th death) im in a car and the japan guy kills me again
6th death) at Vik i seem to die again
*spoiler* now i get told i only have few weeks left to live..wtf? gonna die again? im living on time?
7th death) johnny smash my head thru the window at my apartment

im so confused at this point.. game started out good and strong but this adds a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and weirdness to it and i cant say i like it. if im just playing as a dead *ghost* character i might aswell not play at all.

Misunderstanding.
Yes, Dex "killed" you. The next part is.... you could say, its a Dream/Memory.
After that you flicker in and out, because youre heavily injured and lose consciousness a few times, but youre not dying.
Dont want to spoiler too much, but lets just say.... your big Heist had some unexpected sideeffects, beside flying Bullets.

ok i dont care much about johnny for the 2) death, but am i right if the main character in this game is still V or not? or is it johnny now?

about deaths 3-7), are they not really deaths just lose conciousness?

and my final question is what i wanna know is (i tried google and cant find any answer on it) did the 1) dex bullet kill me or not? like i wanna know if i died and come back to life or it never really killed me it just set me in some "coma" so i never really died.

Just keep playing and you will get your answers.....

i dont wanna keep playing if i died.. thats the point.. either ill restart the game and keep playing or someone tell me now if the first bullet dex shot me with killed me or not.

Yes you died... but you survived your death. Youre V.
Continue the Game and the Story should answer most if not all of your Questions.

I mean its realistic if I didn't die because many people get shot in the head and still survive it.

So if i restart my game is it possible to avoid getting shot or backstab by dex so i dont die?
