Ok. I went and read the reddit thread and many people think they have found her but there are no hard proff. Many theories also about her disapearing and faking death when the Heist turned sour. Also many people saying there was more to her but was cut content.
So we may never know. Kinda sad since she is properly introduced at the start of the game like Jackie but then, nada. She is just gone.
Given what the seller mentions, there shouldn't be any body to find in the game since they (T-bug's inner circle of netrunner friends) would have already gone to her place to find her body while V was out cold and recuperating. It wouldn't make sense that they went to find out what happened to her, only to leave her body there to rot for eternity. Or worse still, for Arasaka to find and experiment on.
I also doubt that she was faking it. She doesn't strike me as the kind that would ditch her comrades just because of one botched job. The fact that she didn't just bail out immediately the moment ♥♥♥♥ hit the fan also indicates her personality. Even if she were faking it to lay low, I would think that she still trusts V enough to tell him that. After all, even her quickhack seller friend is still willing to talk to him about it.
She also comes across as a cool professional. The serious type, not even laughing at the jokes that V or Jackie make. As such, I find it hard to believe that she would throw aside her professionalism to put on a fake "ARRRHHHHHH! I HAVE BEEN MADE!" show in front of her two close confidants just to ditch them, and in the middle of an actual emergency to boot. She's too proud for that sort of cheap theatrics, simply not in line with her character. If she wanted to ditch them, she would have just cut them off without saying anything.
A little more into simply "trouble".
Black ICE weaved by the Konpeki AI fried her brain once defenses were put online again.
We never find her, because in the 2 weeks it took us to get on our feet again, she was already found and buried by her friend.
Interesting lore tidbit, submerged in previous drafts of Cyberpunk story?
T-Bug had a sister, who we would have encountered at a certain point (basically, Sasha from Edgerunner before Edgerunner). BUT, the only friend of T-Bug before she went full Netrunner?
Rhino.
The animal champion we beat during “beat on the brat”. Who got scouted when Animals came to solve some “issues” with T-Bug.
Rhino got punched in her place, but earned Animals’ respect at the same time. And after that, they got their separated ways.
First one is a runner who tried to get a job with the voodoo's.
She's in a turret guarded garage over the road near where you first meet Dex.
Check her terminal and ya will find a convo between her and Regina asking for help/stuff where Regina warns her off the voodoo's cause they are bad news.
(She's a hidden gem, and usually your first free netrunner suit)
Voodoo's flatlined her once she was done working for them (as usual for a 'ranyon' ie anyone not born and raised in Pacifica)
Second is Lady Space, runner working for a gang to silence a witness the cops have in the MedCenter whose in a coma. She gets the job done but gets flatlined on the way out, probably by the MedCenter's own counter measures.
Another hidden gem. Her shard contains the info on why she was there and what she did.
Can't remember if there is a cross referencing other shard tho.
I know those two quite well lol, as I'm very familiar with the Watson Easter egg hidden gems.
I use a mod called 'missing persons: Fixers hidden gems' that uses a text message based micro quest/gig system to send you to each hidden gem location.
(There are multiple ways to find them, lots of guides, even the game guide has all the pre 2.0+ locations, the mod used that to create its map)
In that mod, Regina (and most other Fixers I think) offers a service to Netrunner folks, to 'clean up after them's if they get burned on the job. That's why she sends V there to check on some of them, or to confirm they need a team pickup and disposal.
There's a couple more. A guy working for B@d up the tower where the twin boxers are called 'Watcher' who burned out.
Another guy on top of a round ball (water?) tower up in Maelstrom territory who iirc has the iconic netrunner pants (can't remember his name tho, I've not visited him as often lol)
And a weffle runner under the overpass between Watson and Westbrook that scared B@d into getting Regina to look into it, because he though it was some NetWatch guy, but turned out to be some homeless person who just got a dodgy old external cyberdeck and thought they would go live inside the net, triggered B@d's defences then got fired.
(Probably got too close to the Blackwall, that one)
It's a really good mod for ether your 100% playthru or for immersive way to find all the Easter eggs/hidden gems.
The mod maker went to great lengths to connect all the shards together, used lore sources to make the fixer texts feel like each of the district Fixers.
For some, it's a one-and-done mod. They won't use it again after doing it once.
For some, they don't like the 'GoFer' style tho (go fer this, V)
I like it because it gives me 100xp per find, it feels like I'm doing this to get the fixers to trust V.
I do the Watson ones before I start the heist, so it feels like I'm doing prep work with Regina. You just have to do the 'monster hunter' gig for her first (Jotaro Shobo at the HoOh club for the Mox) to trigger it.
There is also a Dogtown/phantom liberty add on mod, the maker kept them separate so you could use ether one or both.
As for Bug, yeah there are a lot of theories.
Some say she was grabbed by Soulkiller, so she's in Mikoshi (another reason to blow that place up lol, since she's hit that point where she 'never wanna set foot in cyberspace again')
Others say she was got by the voodoo's, that she was working for them and she was the one to suggest Dex take Evelyn Parker's gig. And that they flatlined her themselves before she could get them traced by Arasaka the moment things went bad.
Or that she was secretly working with NetWatch (lol)
That she faked her flatline and ran, leaving that shard on V's desk (greetings from DesMoins)
Personally, I think she's gone. Ether the Konpeki Hotel Vi freed the resident Dweller from your Flathead and he took her out, or Saburo's personal security (the other AV that flies past with his personal one, the one that probably dropped off the two sumo sized guards with the face painted faceplates) called in and had Soulkiller come check.
(I don't believe in the death of any fictional person unless I see the dead, decayed body.)
I was in the same boat, and the fact that, I believe, the only dialogue which actually confirms this is if you choose to yell at Jackie in the elevator, V essentially tells him Bug was fried and died when caught out by Saka runners.
I wasn't until my 3rd or 4th playthrough I discovered this though, as I never wanted to dispirit an already nearly-dead Jackie by yelling at him about our lost comrades.
Yeah, those options really bug me (no pun intended)
I get that V is scared, worried ect, but they don't offer anything else in some areas.
The lack of a friendly line in the back of the car on the way to the hotel really bugs me. Both options cause friction between Jackie and V, so I'm stuck with staying silent.
We could have said "someone's buzzed, this means THAT much to you?" sort of a question but not a nit-picking one.
And he could then tell V (and the player) why it means so much.
He's 30 and this is his last chance to be 'somebody' in the city.
It looks like she gets fried by Saka netrunners during the heist. And maybe she does.
But you never see her body, and she's also not in the columbrarium.
The woman from the netrunning store in kabuki (Yoko Tsuru) seems to confirm T-Bugs dead, but if you listen closly she has no idea.
'They found her body'. Who is "they"? Did she ever saw the body? Does she know what happend to the body next? No.
The black netrunner is the garage with two turrets west of h10 is not T-Bug. But it might be a similar story.
That one got fried in the net while working for the vdbs.
And I'm pretty sure T-Bug did as well.
The sinnerman quest was especially brutal
I've got one of those to lol.
Victor Masters.
Nasty little Corpo scumbag who'd squish you as soon as look at you.
Tho the goatee should give it away he's evil lmao.
Meanwhile, in Konpeki Plaza, as you start making your way through to the elevator on floor 98 to escape, you'll encounter a security guard and a netrunner discussing the terrace doors. Nearby are terrace doors, and on the terrace is a door leading to a maintenance shaft.
This shaft leads us to a space above floor 98, which allows us to drop down in the room where we can quietly take out the guard with the key to the elevator. We can still get into this space if we have double jump or charged jump, by jumping onto the light fixture in the room.
You can't interact with the terrace doors or maintenance door, and currently the guard with the key doesn't spawn in unless you follow the intended path. But remember, T-Bug opened the doors in the penthouse for us.
I wonder if, in the version of the story as it was in the trailer I mentioned, T-Bug sticks around longer, helping to open the terrace doors so that we can more easily escape, before dying at the No-Tell Motel. Moving her death to the penthouse scene may have been part of disabling the terrace door path to completing the quest, while killing her off screen is an improvement in that it leaves open the possibility she's still alive.
Personally, I think she's dead. Don't forget, she worked with Dex two years ago when a gig in Pacifica went south and forced him to flee Night City. I'm assuming it involved the Animals, because I don't see why the VDB would warn him about Evelyn if Dex had screwed them in the past.
T-Bug was involved in part or all of this, and helped Dex clean up the mess, including the mercs he had hired. This is why she has no interest in being friendly with you or Jackie, because V had the right of it when he tells Jackie he's already familiar with fixers while they're talking at the food stand.
There's a bunch of foreshadowing telling you that The Heist will fail, and that you'll be betrayed and killed.
