How do the Phantom Liberty endings work, exactly?
I was under the impression that Phantom Liberty offered us 4 different endings to the expansion.

The first one I completed was the King of Swords that led me to the Tower ending...fair enough. Recently however, I played through again making different choices and got to the King of Pentacles ending (IIRC) which basically terminated the Phantom Liberty story and put me back to the Nocturne ending (Hanako at Embers) I went back and replayed making a certain critical choice differently which led to the King Of Cups ending...which turned out to be The Tower, again. (I may have mixed up Cups and Pentacles, but those were the two I did).

So now I'm confused. If I do what I presume is the King of Staves ending...do I get a new ending? Or do I get put back on path to the Nocturne ending with Hanako? Or have I overlooked something that leads me to a new, distinct ending or endings for Phantom Liberty?

I don't remember the name of the ending I did, but I sent Songbird to the moon. It gave me an amazing credits roll, then let me keep playing like it was just another mission.

I still haven't done any of the main game endings, so not sure how it affects them yet.

So four endings are as follows:

1. Side with So Mi, send her to space. (No changes to main endings)
2. Side with So Mi, send her to NUSA. (Unlocks new game ending)
3. Side with Reed, kill So Mi. (No changes to main endings)
4. Side with Reed, send So Mi to NUSA. (Unlocks new game ending)

Isn't there also a DLC ending (or more) that ends the game altogether? Eliminates / replaces any main game endings? Like back to the main menu after the DLC credits?

Likely (hopefully) I've misunderstood this, though :VBCOOL:

And my question is whether any of the additional DLC endings will let V repair/remove the Relic and purge that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SIlverhand out of their head. That is, a definitive ending to his/her struggle and to save their life? Or we're still left hanging because of some arbitrary design reasons?

In my first playthough I chose the Nomad ending. That was acceptably satisfying ending, but I wanted better. I gave in though and bought the DLC and want to pick the best ending for V.

I was just trying avoid heavy spoilers, but yeah. the 'New Game Ending' I mentioned is a new game ending where V gets actually cured.

Hmmm...that was the situation I feared. Basically Phantom Liberty gives us 4 endings to the expansion, but only one new game ending. I was expecting more....:steamsad:
