What side quests get locked after Relic heist?
Starting a new save, I want to save some side quests I previously barreled through the moment they became available, from my understanding some have unique dialogue if I save them for when I have Johnny, so wondering if there's a clear list, I actually tried googling and browsing the steam guides but I didn't get a straight answer.
So, I'm in Act 1 in my new save, haven't done the heist yet, haven't even spoken to Evelyn yet or dealt with Maelstorm.
Are all the side quests still available if I just B-line the main heist to get Johnny? Or do some auto fail if I ignore them now?
I remember there being a time skip in the story post heist.
(Pretty sure all side gigs & NCPD scanner stuff should remain safe though, right?)

For Act I? No. Everything left undone prior to the heist is still available after it.

Johnny has a few different dialogs in side-quests while Playing for Time is available after the Heist, but once Playing for Time is done (which opens up a lot of new stuff afterward), Johnny's dialog is standard going forward from that point.

Thanks! Going to B-line Act 1 main quest and save all side stuff for Act 2 then, think I saw some meme or joke about letting Takemura just wait forever in Tom's Diner so that's the plan lol.

Talk to Takemura in the Diner first before doing anything... it's when V and Johnny 'clear the air', so to speak and it causes other dialogue to make more sense. Before the Diner, Johnny tried to kill V so it makes little narrative sense for them to be friendly until their Diner conversation.

They fixed that.
Now, if you go to the car before visiting Tom's Diner, he responds differently to the crash (hostility).
The old response is left in, if you go to the car after Tom's Diner.

I agree with talkijng to Takemura ASAP when he calls you at the very beginning of Act 2. There is no advantage to avoiding him, and some very clear benefits [quest unlocking and other things]. Don't do _anything_ before meeting him at Tom's Diner.

hehehe. depending on which V i am playing with, depends if i go to my car first, or after meeting Goro.
i rationalise it as 'I got a call from Mama Wells. going to go see her first'

which means i get the snark from Johnny. then, he gets to see more of V at the Ofrenda, after i take the train there. gives the feeling of him getting to know V more, especialy as they go home drunk on the train, pass out on the bed.
*imagines Johnny rifling thru Vs memories while they are passed out lol*
so he realises more who V is, that they are not who/what he thought.

yes, it's a ways to go, and you have to go thru the Ofrenda. but i also do it to make sure i get the bike, because i prefer driving a bike to a car (unless its the Maimai, because its just slow enough i dont have to worry too much XD)

Corpo's who are still Corp, they go there first because Corp Biz first lol
