If you pick the "skip to PL" option, the game simply assumes that you've played through the Heist (and all that entails, meeting Ev and Judy, the pickup, the Kompeki heist itself), and Judy's part of the the main quest (saving Ev, and meeting the VDB's and ALT).
All those quests are marked as completed. But nothing else. So you haven't done Panam's or Goro's missions, you haven't done any gigs, and you haven't done Judy's romance missions either (IE you've not met Maiko yet).
You basically just spawn into Pacifica as a level 15 character, with some very basic cyberware and gear, with the heist and Judy's side of the main quest marked as completed, and then you get Song's phonecall.
LOLWUT
a LOT of players pretty much DEMANDED that they be able to do that in the expansion, or they wouldn't buy it, back before it actually dropped.
Plus, the op finished the original game on their playstation.
Probably platinum'd it there and it never occurred to em that jumping right to the new stuff would affect the achievements here.
4 or 5 times now, I have explained how to only have to do the heist once here on steam to folks who don't want to keep doing it.
Some, hate loosing Jackie again, others just hate being tied down to Watson.
Many of those are the same chooms who wanted to just jump right into phantom liberty.
Back when we just had a few deets about it, people argued about stuff.
What level will we have to be to start it?
Will it be a separate thing, like 'Blood and Wine' was for Witcher 3?
Do we start it after 'meet Hanako at Embers'? (lol)
We didn't know, but the forums were full of people who had already 100% the game and who *just* wanted to jump right into the new map, new quests and new endings.
