Takemura is loyal to Arasaka, so yeah, he's not going to be happy with V if his world gets turned upside down.
I mean, makes sense, Alt killed practically everyone there. And yes, I also took that as his death note, that he's about to kill himself. :(
All in all, both Aldecados endings were depressing... V either has 6 months to live or ends up a construct in Cyberspace absorbed by Alt whatever that means.
Gonna play the corpo ending tomorrow.
Oh, and, I don't have the DLC, I hear there's another ending with that so no spoilers please, I'll buy the dlc eventually. But I'm taking a break from Cyberpunk after I see the endings available to me, it's a surprisingly heavy game. I love it!
Yeah, could be. Also, some voicemails were weird because in the ending that I went with Aldecados, Mitch talks to V as if he's not with them anymore. Even though Panam kinda implies they're still together and with the nomads.
Takemura is very upset because you let Hanako get murdered in his eyes by not agreeing to her deal, which Takemura urged you to trust and accept because he wanted to protect her at all costs.
Do the Devil Ending to learn more about Takemura's intentions. It's pretty awesome imho.
The devil ending is siding with Hanako right? I'll do that tomorrow. :)
Also, I do t think the spoiler tags are needed unless they're for me. I out the spoiler warning at the title so I assume only people who finished the game will read the thread.
Can't hurt of course. :)
This game is not about happy endings.. I find it to be a meditation on the futility of searching for glory and fame...kind of a modern/future morality play.
Definitely giving me SOMA vibes throughout, and the ending got me feeling similar to Shadowrun Hong Kong, the bonus missions.
So it's definitely a good story, and I love it, don't get me wrong. :)
Now.... there is a special Phantom Liberty ending that reaches over to the base game ending. But I won't say anything because you mentioned you haven't played it yet. I'll let you see that one for yourself. It's beautifully done. ;)
Enjoy the rest of your journey with the remaining endings.
i try to avoid PL missions till im done with side quests and base game, no idea if its the right way
We're in a cyberpunk story after all.
Heroes and baddies and happy endings are an aberration for the genre. Here, we just have protagonists with interesting stories.
And personally, I find it liberating by contrast: a truer character study, without moralistic compulsions of any kind…
For the price of having many hopes snuffed out before their time.
This is the way.
If you want to enjoy the full "flavor” PL has to offer, complete every major quest in Night City (Pyramid Song, Ward, Aldecaldos) up to “Search and Destroy.”
After that, you can go PL without problem…
OR, if you don’t want to postpone exploring Dogtown (which is fair, the DLC area is a treat), you can complete the first step of the DLC and after that you can put the story on hold for as long as you want: PL main questiline isn’t on a timer.
Mileage may vary, depending on how you “lived” the story through your V eyes.
Personally, I think the “Don’t Fear the Reaper” (secret) ending, is the best of the bunch.
