In other words, you can take your time to complete the game in whatever order and in as much (actual) time as you wish.
edit- all the above said, there are some time-limited quests/side quests you should do when you get them: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/y1ftik/time_sensitive_quests/
Long answer: The ending of the game (Act 3) starts with a Point of No Return which locks out all the other side quests and is completely linear to the point where you choose the ending you play.
The available ending choices are based upon certain side quests and whether you have completed them or not and in a certain way. The Point of No Return is a special save point which will drop you back there each time you complete the game so you can try other endings or complete other side quests (and, therefore, unlock other endings).
Not completing or failing certain side quests will lock you out of their associated endings.
The Phantom Liberty expansion adds another ending which can actually bypass the main game's Act 3.
If you're interested, I can share (vaguely) the quests you need to do in order to have the most available ending options.
1) The first and second endings available can be reached without completing any side quests. This is the Devil and suicide endings.
2) When you and Johnny go to an oil field after retrieving his gun on a freighter, you will begin the quest "Chippin' In". You must follow this series of dialogue prompts (below) exactly. This unlocks the Secret ending.
"Let's do something about that." Be sure to inscribe Johnny's initials when prompted.
"The Guy who Saved My Life"
"Nah, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that up too."
"What do you want from me?"
"OK. But as second chances go, this is your last."
"You were a real ♥♥♥♥ in the beginning."
"When you said you let down your friends..."
"Yeah, I'll call Rogue."
3) Finishing the above with Johnny, you will have the opportunity to take one of Johnny's love interests on a date. Complete the quest "Blistering Love". This unlocks the Sun ending.
4) Support/back Panam on all the things she wants to do, completing the quest "Queen of the Highway". This unlocks the Star ending.
5) With the endings from 2, 3, and 4, V will have a further choice while talking to Alt and Johnny. Choosing to "let go" awards you the Temperance ending.
6) As I mentioned, the expansion adds an ending that can bypass all of the above. If you want to experience this ending, you'll need to surrender Songbird to Reed and then accept Reed's offer. This unlocks the Tower ending.
Two notes: first, you can surrender Songbird regardless of whom you betray. Second, when you are presented with the opportunity to betray, the outcomes of betrayal play out very differently but there is no Point-of-no-Return so I highly recommend saving right before you're presented with the choice of betrayal so you can play both outcomes of Phantom Liberty.
Hope that helps!
