Honestly it makes some sense from River's perspective. The guy had a crap childhood in the fostercare system, his only surviving family a somewhat estranged sister and her kids, and he's going through a troubled period in his life. His choom in the NCPD played him like a sucker, he got booted off the force for doing his job, and ontop of it all, his troubled nephew has been kidnapped by a serial killer, a nephew he probably feels he has failed ontop of it all.

In steps V, this kick-arse merc chick who's the one ray of sunshine in this whole story, who is willing to help him out, help save his nephew, and in doing so even helps him indirectly to reconnect with his sister and get his family back. It's not really hard to see how the guy might get a crush on her (deep eternal love? Maybe not, but a crush? Certainly).

Of course, it doesen't hurt that V showed up the first time wearing naught but a transparent leotard and a pair of thigh high boots. Wha? That was just in my game? Nah i don't belive that, we all had the sophistication and good taste to wear that, i'm sure.


From V's perspective, yeah.. it gets a bit more tricky to explain. The whole storyline sees V help him, not the other way around, and it really is quite short and underdeveloped, soooo... yeah i've got nuthin'. I've got no idea what V would see in Igor.

Heck my V was just as well dressed, but my V didn't have a V (Character creation needs a lot of work but I love that aspect).

River Ward is a loser who can't even get easy tasks done, lives in a trailer park loses his nephew, loses his job, can't even find his nephew without the help of a mercenary that has brain damage.

also he fooled everybody that the jambalaya was a family recipe but on his computer i found that he googled "jambalaya recipe" in the trailer. also i convicted him that he cant cook by disobeying the orders he gave for helping with the recipe. i refused to stir and the jambalaya was finished nontheless. No i mean i literally don't get it. Whatever part of my brain is supposed to guage male attractiveness simply doesen't function. In my eyes all men look ugly, just different kinds of ugly. To me Vin Diesel is no more "hot" than.. who do people find ugly... a quick google search says Steve Buscemi. I don't get it, i look at their faces and i just see two different kinds of ugly. Infact i find Vin slightly uglier of the two, though probably just because he is so overmuscled, and i find that more repulsive.

This includes myself by the way, i've always been told that i'm a good looking guy, but i simply don't understand why people would think that. In my eyes i'm the ugliest thing on two legs. I'm not playing favorites, i really and honestly don't get it.

I understand attraction just fine, i find women attractive, and i have a keen uderstanding of what i find attractive in a woman, so i do get that much (and that glass bottle does look kinda hot in the right light, i'll give it that).

I just don't have any frame of refrence when it comes to men. Obviously it's perfectly normal for a straight guy to not be attracted to men, that's what the whole straight thing means afterall, but they do normally have some understanding of masculine asthetics, as in they will say "that guy looks cool" or maybe "i wish i looked like that guy". That's the understanding i don't have, i don't think any man looks cool, we all just look repulsive in my eyes.

It's not a River thing, it's a "the developers ran out of time" thing. All the romances lack post-sex relationships, they are all like this.

We can hope they don't stay that way, that it might be improved with game updates, but the game has more severe issues that need fixing, so it's probably not high on the to-do list.

true. while reading this i caught myself thinking: what would be on top of the to-do list though? what would be the number 1 thing you would like to see fixed?

for me it is only one thing and that is, that sometimes quests can't be finished because objects do not spawn.

It would be cute if you could at least invite your lover to your apartment. Have them hang around, maybe make comments on the different things that show up in your apartment as you do quests… or at least cuddle them in your bed or on the couch, like in ME2 after you’ve done the suicide mission, lol
