Endings discussion (SPOILERS)
I know it is my fault for spoiling myself, but when i got close to the final mission, i googled a bit for the possible endings and to find a way for V to survive....
Surprise surprise, there are 7 endings and V dies in all of them, like wtf, you either decide to suicide, give your body to johnny or live for another 6 months and then die.

Why couldn't they make 1 happy ending? i literally stopped playing at that point and don't plan on playing anymore, endings for more are the most important part of a game, the closure knowing my character lives on in a happy life

Like in the witcher, you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of options for endings, only in 1 of them does geralt dies, in the rest he is happy somewhere doing witcher stuff.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I like the game, but agree or at least understand the Op I posted about this too.

The game ending just makes replaying it for different endings useless, they all basically end with the same your dead ( may be 6 months away but), there is nothing to shoot for in replaying the game past the point of no return.

(In witcher 3 they had quite a few actual good endings, I have one I personally think is the best, but the endings were quite variable, and worth a replay to see.)

I am replaying the game.

I do like the game play, and am enjoying it. But even though the one time I took it all the way to the end I got the so called good end.

It does not feel like a good end in any way to me, even the expressions on my character leave little doubt that they know they will be dead soon.

I think the writers should be reprimanded for there inability to understand what makes a game re-playable. Gloomy ending are not something most people wish to view twice.

it seems is a way to end the saga. so yes does not give much room for a sequel.

at least they come up with a miracle cure all of the sudden.

The Panam/Nomad Ending IS the 'Happy Ending'.

This is Cyberpunk, it was never gonna be sunshine and rainbows. But being with the people you love, even with a Terminal Sickness is probably one of the best ways to die in this world.

Why do you need to kill the main character though? Just make a sequel 100 years and have the main character die of old age, would be 1000x better

This is even if your % with Johnny is over 80%? If that's the case my Johnny is becoming a woman. lol

tbh the nomad one is a bit ambiguous as panem says they'll find a way to stop or reverse whats happening. With the fact that anti ageing tech and whatnot is available in the universe its not impossible to believe that something to help V is out there

You spend the whole game chasing that slim thread of hope, just hoping for salvation.
and in the end your choices are die now or die 6 months later.

in the witcher 3 the world was bleak as ♥♥♥♥ and we still had a happy ending

Why would it end the Saga? The game is about the Cyberpunk series not any one particular character.

'V' is just one character of many stories that take place in this setting and time.

Honestly, i wouldn't call it the "happy" ending, i would call it the less tragic ending.

All the 7 endings are tragic and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, some more some less, but they are all tragic.

its the mass effect 3 fiasco all over again, all those options and you still die no matter what

Keep in mind though Geralt had three games to EARN that heroic/peaceful happy ending.

Like I said before, V was just one story. Cyberpunk was never about one character, it's a setting.

Panam ending isn't happy at all, you still die 6 months later.
with the promisse that they will try to look for a cure, but lets be honest here, in the arasaka ending, even with all that tech you still die, i doubt that we would find a cure somewhere else in 6 months

in all 3 games, geralt ends the game alive and somewhat happy, i felt a sense of closure in witcher 1 and 2 and specially 3.

in cyberpunk the closure the game wants to give me is that my character dies

Yep if Arasaka couldn't find a working cure in time, then V was screwed from the start and the best ending is to go out in a blaze of glory.

I downloaded V's engram with soul killer in hope the Arasaka would give V a new body, but then that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ song on credits screen and misty's tarot cards ripped a hole in my soul for real.

And lets not forget, soul killer makes a new fake V, the real V dies when they use soul killer on him

and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ copy still dies 6 months later in the "best ending"

The worst part of all this, is that i doubt they will make new endings to satisfy players who need a happy ending for closure.

maybe in 2 years after they fix all the bugs and make the game playable on console but i'm not holding out hope for that.

for what it's' worth, cyberpunk is a good game but the endings literally ruined the WHOLE experience for me, i don't even feel like doing the side quests anymore, nothing matters you still die
