Need some advise siding with reed or songbird

The first time i sided with Reed, last 3 times songbird. I liked songs ending because the dlc ends at the...well end of the dlc and i can do the base game endings. As with reed you have to go away for 2 years and i hated that ending.

So my question really is, is there a way to not go with reed and disappear for 2 years and end the dlc like songs ending so i can do the base games ending. I never got that blackwall gun and i want it this playthrough. I remember you need tech 20 to open that door but i hated being stalked by that robot thing.

I suck at asking questions in threads, hope i was clear enough.

As I understand it, in the Phantom Liberty endgame, there are 2 big decisions you have to make, for a total of four possible endings. I don't know if it's possible to get to the ending you want...but if you made those combinations of decisions, that's all you get.

Perhaps you should ask this in the Story Discussion forum where people are more willing to talk spoilers.

You have 2 options when speaking to Song in Cynosure. One is not the 2 year one.

Just don't call Reed and confirm you want surgery after finishing the DLC and you will be able to do all the other endings just like you can with the base game.

20 years on Steam and never really noticed that lol. <slap in the face emoji> I'll keep that in mind for the future thanks. This is literally the only place i post on the internet, hell i dont even use social media, never sent a tweet in my life

Cause then its like the dlc didnt end properly. This kinda of was my main question, with songs ending the dlc actually ends everything tied up "mission complete". As with reed it just hangs there for me to call for the surgery which believe it or not really irritated me lol.

So there isnt a second option with him? the only ending with reed is getting that surgery?

i read to not get the cure (which i wanted to do) choose to kill songbird in the core. Which i did and everyone was pissed and no cure was offered. Dlc ended and i moved on.
I forgot how much i hated reeds ending. its long AF and being in that underground bunker for over an hour wasnt fun. I chose the blackwall smg which was kinda, meh. i was a net runner but the cyberdeck only has 4 slots.

Sum it up, in the future i will be choosing "side with songbird"
