Spellbound - Nix Ripped Me Off
At level 50, it cost $37,000 to buy the "spell book". Granted, I didn't have the 15 Int to ask Nix for more $, but he promised to pay me back two-fold. He paid me $11,200...

He absolutely does. But there's away to make a profit out of this...just argue with him about the compensation and he'll reluctantly give you a bonus.

But there's an even better way... Don't pay Reno...just put her down with a non-lethal Quickhack. Or kill her if you feel nasty. Open her laptop and read the info there...it's everything you need to recover the spellbook and more. Take the book back to Nyx and let him pay you...argue for the bonus if you want. Pure Profit!

Yeah I noticed this too, he says he'll double your money and ended up giving me half what I paid. FU nix.

He used to pay you close to double but CDPR broke it in 2.0. Same thing happens with Stefan when you ask for your money back.

I've seen comments that costs and payouts vary with your level...apparently level scaling affects this too. Not sure...but will be watching for this.

Yeah, Stefan definitely did the same as well.

What I've noticed is that costs and level are correlated, but income and level are not. So as you level up quest & apartment costs go up, but rewards & refunds do not.

At level 50 (base game, no Phantom Liberty) apartments cost something like:
- Northside: 10,000
- Japantown: 30,000
- Glen: 80,000
- City Center: 110,000

I don't think cars are affected though.
