I need to know something about Phantom Liberty
Okay so without spoiling I need to know if the DLC has a "Good" ending where V and his/her chooms/romance partner as still tight. Similar to the Aldecaldo ending, which to me is the best ending.

I have been hearing people say that the DLC makes your romance partner and chooms hate you? If this is the case then Im not sure I even wanna bother with the dlc then. I didn't spend all that time building friendships to have them end so easily because of some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

There are no happy endings. Best one is still going with the nomads, at least you have friends and a family that cares about you.
Well is there an ending where you don't get the cure? And V is still close with his/her friends? Seriously this is making me not even want to bother with the dlc at all. Actually really kind of pissing me off. Why CDPR had to screw us on these types of endings?!

The secret ending is a serious mindfrack if you truly understand what it's telling you. I think every gamer should experience it at least once. You can load an earlier save and do the other endings later. Guy who didn't buy the DLC because of one of the endings is just seriously weird. The base game has crap endings too.

I mean I hate bad/sad endings. Also base game best ending is Aldecaldo, honestly the best outcome to me. Gives hope. If all of the endings in the dlc are bad then screw that.

There is one ending yes I would not worry so much. You can do the entire DLC and still have the main game endings available to choose from.

Phantom Liberty is not about Vincent/Valerie despite he/she playing crucial role in it. It's story of some another person, you will find out whom. Is ending good, bad or evil should be judged from that person perspective.
And yes, you can get one more alternative ending to V story depending on your in DLC choices. However, be ready that it will still fit main meaning of the cyberpunk genre. Quid pro quo

i played all the endings and some are negative but you can forsure have a "good" ending that doesnt effect your relationships in base game at all
Rabidnid Oct 18, 2023 @ 1:56pm
There are 4 endings, at least one has zero impact on the base game endings.

So there IS an ending in the DLC that is "good" and doesn't leave a sour taste in your mouth? Example, the Aldecaldo ending (as I have said) being the "best" ending. I just want a similar ending to that in the DLC. Or is it just all depressing?

Yes. This was my first PL games ending. V ended where he started just with a few more enemies.

I was happy with mine, even if it didn't help V.

Best ending for me always was the Johnny one when he finally moves on. Really emotional.

So V was still on good terms with their romance option and chooms? Because thats is all I really care about. I don't want an ending where Vs Romance and chooms just forget about him/her or are mad with them. If there is an ending like that then I may change my mind about the dlc.

None of the endings in the Phantom Liberty story destroy relationships. It's the secret optional ending that does this. You can play all of the DLC and still get back to the main endings.

I also think the Aldecaldos ending is the best :P

In short: Yes. Long answer will be spoilers:

I went and helped SoMi. Decided to betray Reed for her and it ended with SoMi and me fighting out way to the space shuttle, and she telling V that she lied and had no cure. That only one of us could be saved, because it would destroy the McGuffin. And well... i decided that the one to be saved should be SoMi... and i put her into the shuttle.

Reed tried to stop us, which resulted in a shoot out with Reed and i killed Reed. Alex later called me, and we had a drink together in a bar. She told me she got the job to kill me, and i gave her my token, told her she could come collect once i was dead in a few months. She accepted.

So ultimately Phantom Liberty had no effect on my base game relationships, or the ending for V, and i got a new choom in Alex, and possibly Mr Hands, who seems to have taken a liking to my V.

If you disregard the fact that V will die a horrendous death in a few weeks, sure. Autoimmune disease is a terrible way to go.

So stupidly V will end up dying no matter what? Honestly upsets me that CDPR could make and ending where V lives a long life and is chill with chooms and romance partner.

I mean they could have made V the one that breaks that dumb saying "No Happy endings in Night City" -_-
