Baby Let Me Take You gig complaint

I'm currently using a hack heavy build and I've cleared this gig from Reyes. I cleared the entire dockyard and its turrets and cameras, and saved Daniels by killing all of his assailants with an Overclocked drive by hacking spree, barely even slowing down the truck to do so. I reached the destination with the truck's cargo hold just about pristine with only the cabin taking dents from ramming trucks. However, the dialogue still states that the gear was damaged.
It bothers me; I barely slowed the hell down and the truck's cargo box was hardly even touched. By all accounts I should have been allowed to save both Daniels and keep the medical supplies perfectly intact, but the game only allows either or.

I know. My point is that it's annoying that I'm not allowed to get the best of both worlds through build decision making. I hardly slowed down the truck at all to get the slow motion overdrive quickhacks on everything.

Lmao yeah, I just did this Gig and with a Netrunner build as well. I even loaded the game, got out of the truck, and pre-emptively stopped the first car that's supposed to ram the truck. I still got the scripted "THE GEAR'S DAMAGED FOR SURE!" dialogue even though the truck was literally untouched. Does the gig have different rewards depending on if you let Daniels live or die?

Don't think so. Daniels ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at you for letting him live at the cost of the gear, though.
