Panam is... the worst (DLC ending SPOILERS)
Honestly? She's really just a self-centered, self-absorbed, hysterical, egoistic and absolutely CRAZY woman who puts her own needs above everyone else - be it V or even her "family", the nomads. She only calls you when she needs your help with some stuff... stuff that she does behind the back of the leader of her family too, yeah?

And then has the audacity to absolutely ghost and outright block/ignore V in the end, with this one ending that I've got in my DLC playthrough? LIke, that woman is crazy.

I've completed all of her quests, we drove the tank, she called V best friend, V got knocked out in front of her, V told her the whole thing about relic, slowly dying and all that. There was literally nothing else to do with her anymore at all. Yeah, even if my V is a female and they - obviously - never did anything sexual, since she's straight. So it's all about friendship, right? Best buds, all that.

Then I went for that DLC ending where my V has Relic removed at the cost of no longer being able to use any other chrome. Which... took 2 years in a coma, right? And then my V wakes up to literal spam of Panam's messages, including her telling V to F-off at one point, then saying she's sorry. That woman's hysterical and not in control of her emotions. Then 55 missed calls, like some kind of batsh~ crazy stalker, wtf. And when I try to call her - no reply, it's voice-mail. Then, during credits, Mitch(i think it's Mitch? or whats his name again?), one of the Aldecaldo boys calls and tells NOT to call Panam ever again.

She knew about the relic, she knew about V slowly dying, she knew that V is looking for a possible cure - V literally gets knocked out in front of her at one point, then explains everything. She KNEW everything and still gets all pissed about V not responding, to a point of blocking the calls and have a 3rd party person tell V not to call her anymore? Not even thinking that V is simply unable to reply due to being in a coma or LITERALLY DEAD? Imagine being angry at a person who's trying to recover or is literally already dead.

Honestly? Worst character, maybe ever. Not gonna ever touch her questlines in my next playthroughs. She's just... not worth it, the way I see it.

What can you expect from her? She cant use her brain when it needs to be. Remember the times that she caused 10+ "family" members death? She was b*tching about Saul that he is a coward but what about her causing problems to the family? Also Mitch and Panam crying about Scorpion the whole time but not talking a word about other randos? What a family. I didnt suprized that Mitch still following her. How many people they killed because they stole that panzer?
Holy mother of necro... Look at the dates when the thread was created and the last post happened, before replying.

Thread is older than the internet. Anyways, I think people are forgetting that this broad decided to go on a suicide mission with her friend/lover and also take on Adam Smasher of all people. Give her some credit, my dudes. She really did care about V. Unfortunately the voice actor situation made the PL ending really messy.

What was the voice actor situation you mentioned? And how did it make the Phantom Liberty ending really messy as you put it?

Bah.....while 8 months can easily be considered a necro, I've seen 7 and 8 year old necro posts on Steam so 7 or 8 months barely counts. Just sayin

I made it sound worse than it was. It just meant that the voice actress wasn’t able to reprise her role for the DLC. As for the ending, it would’ve had more closure if our character actually spoke to Panam rather than hand waving it away to Mitch. Panam doesn’t seem like the type to not get a last word in, at least thats the way I see it; thats why some, I imagine, speculate that she died within those two years of V being comatose.

Thanks for the quick reply LG. I do remember hearing something about the voice actress changing for the dlc at the time. And definitely agree with your take on speaking to Panam at the games end. Almost like CDPR had no idea how to actually handle that call.

The voice actress for Panam IS in the PL expansion. There's several new voice lines added to the game specifically referring to the events of PL. CDPR's decision to make Panam disappear/ghost seems to be entirely narrative based, rather than logistical - remember their obsession with "bitter-sweet" as the only appropriate endings for Cyberpunk.
