Panam is... the worst (DLC ending SPOILERS)
Honestly? She's really just a self-centered, self-absorbed, hysterical, egoistic and absolutely CRAZY woman who puts her own needs above everyone else - be it V or even her "family", the nomads. She only calls you when she needs your help with some stuff... stuff that she does behind the back of the leader of her family too, yeah?

And then has the audacity to absolutely ghost and outright block/ignore V in the end, with this one ending that I've got in my DLC playthrough? LIke, that woman is crazy.

I've completed all of her quests, we drove the tank, she called V best friend, V got knocked out in front of her, V told her the whole thing about relic, slowly dying and all that. There was literally nothing else to do with her anymore at all. Yeah, even if my V is a female and they - obviously - never did anything sexual, since she's straight. So it's all about friendship, right? Best buds, all that.

Then I went for that DLC ending where my V has Relic removed at the cost of no longer being able to use any other chrome. Which... took 2 years in a coma, right? And then my V wakes up to literal spam of Panam's messages, including her telling V to F-off at one point, then saying she's sorry. That woman's hysterical and not in control of her emotions. Then 55 missed calls, like some kind of batsh~ crazy stalker, wtf. And when I try to call her - no reply, it's voice-mail. Then, during credits, Mitch(i think it's Mitch? or whats his name again?), one of the Aldecaldo boys calls and tells NOT to call Panam ever again.

She knew about the relic, she knew about V slowly dying, she knew that V is looking for a possible cure - V literally gets knocked out in front of her at one point, then explains everything. She KNEW everything and still gets all pissed about V not responding, to a point of blocking the calls and have a 3rd party person tell V not to call her anymore? Not even thinking that V is simply unable to reply due to being in a coma or LITERALLY DEAD? Imagine being angry at a person who's trying to recover or is literally already dead.

Honestly? Worst character, maybe ever. Not gonna ever touch her questlines in my next playthroughs. She's just... not worth it, the way I see it.

Finally, someone who shares the same perspective about the character. Initially, she is an incredibly charismatic girl (in Brazil, she has an accent from a very nice region here, equivalent to the farmers in the USA), but there's a dilemma about choosing between her and Judy when you don't know that Judy only likes women. Panam is just like any other real-life girl; the game portrayed her in the most dystopian way possible, showing that she's selfish. If V doesn't respond to her, SHE SENDS SOMEONE ELSE TO TELL HIM NOT TO CALL HER AGAIN. She's just another pretty face with a weak mind. Judy had the justification of moving on, getting married, and living in another state. The only ones who wanted to be with V at all costs were Viktor and Johnny. By the time we get to Johnny's point, there's only regret for taking away V's only best friend who genuinely wanted him to be well. Even though he was a narcissistic and terrible guy, he didn't wish harm upon V. I asked ChatGPT to translate it into English, forgive the imperfections.

Judy is even worse. CDPR's hack writers couldnt come up with a reasonable way to have the love interests leave you so they wrote complete nonsense to try and fit their "dark ending".

Judy marrying off to someone else in 2 whole years at least I can understand. The romance between femV and Judy is kinda mostly short-lived, "in the moment" and based primarily off the whole "shoulder to cry on" emotional rollercoaster after losing a close friend. But yeah, I can see why some would see even Judy's "betrayal" as poor writing too, to an extent.

Panam tho? Dat bish is nuts! xD

Nah not waiting 2 years for someone who risked their life for you multiple times is crazy. It just shows how poorly the writing was too because theres no reason for panam or judy to be left in the dark about where you're at. Just plain lazy writing.

Now THAT is indeed a fair point.

The only "excuse" I could see why nobody at NUSA/FIA/Langley told V's friends about the whole hospital and coma thing is due to "top secret" nonsense and other spy-shi~. But that's that - an excuse.

Most likely poor writing tho, in hopes nobody would care to notice.

Judy I agree, I think it's reasonable, she tells you straight up that she wants to leave Night City and is only staying because of V. Then suddenly V vanishes for 2 years and Judy is dealing with her own ♥♥♥♥ and probably became too much so she left. Met someone else and got married, that's life. People all have their things going on. Besides, you do have the option to end on nice terms with Judy in the call, she said if I find myself in her area to catch up with her.

Panam is sort of the same, she has to move on too but I don't really understand the cold shoulder from her. I don't see why you couldn't also have the choice to be on good terms. I see where the writers were going with this ending, where it's a find new purpose in life and to move on from your old life, and it's left very open for you to decide where V goes from here and what you want the character to do which is always very nice and leaves a nice feeling for you to think about.

But the negatives are hasty texts sent to whoever you are romancing doesn't make sense to leave out details, and why the FIA also wouldn't contact them regarding your 2 year absence is never given an explanation. if they had just done that part a little bit better, but overall, very nice ending.

They are all bad written.
River - The cop who quit NCPD because hes not corrupt and want to start as private detective becomes criminal.
Kerry - The famous rocker boy has no time for you.

Sorry in the DLC ending you found out that all your romances are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the best friend beside (Vik and Misty) is Fingers. (kappa)

Should've seen it coming if you chose to self delete on the roof with Johnny, Panam's reaction in the DLC ending makes more sense and is On Brand for her. Judy will leave you most of the time in whatever ending so her getting married to someone else is On Brand for her too. I hate bringing everybody else up while i'm the one that gets torn down. We should've had the option to avoid these fake friends and leave them with their own problems.

It's said a few times that she rarely open up to anyone outside of the aldecaldos because she's afraid of getting hurt and that's exactly what happened. V was gone for 2 years and Panam had no way of knowing if V just ghosted her or if V was dead. In the message that Mitch sends, he clearly says that she was an emotional wreck for a while and eventually recovered. I kind of understand where she was coming from. She couldn't face V because she couldn't handle the heartbreak again. It would have been like opening old wounds.

The whole ending is trash though...even worse than the Devil ending actually.

And Panam knew exactly why V was gone - relic, looking for a possible cure and what it might mean(spending quite some time in some medical care, for example). Or possibly dead, you know? If the cure isn't found.

Imagine being angry at a person for "ghosting"... if they are literally DEAD. Yeah. Holding a grudge against a dead person is very mature and... sane, sure. lol

To be fair the text you give everyone is pretty vague on where you're going, slightly hinting about your "illness", and not even saying with who. To be honest even opening up about the relic you tended to hold back information to obviously protect people. She also blows up your phone and tried calling you 50+ times when you check your messages after waking up.

You also gotta remember V and Pannam break up if you do the Don't Fear the Reaper ending.

Also, it fits her character. She's never hid she's a hot head. Like legit when you're debating on what ending route to go with and you call her, she loses it when you mention you're going away. And if you let Johnny have your body, she threatens to kill the dude. Plus choosing the suicide route she says she hopes you're rotting in hell.

Not sure why people are shocked though, since even other Aldecaldos warn you about how she is, plus she even herself makes it very clear she rarely opens up. So, while not your fault you ghosted an impatient, aggressive, and emotional person with trust issues who had feelings for you. Not surprised.

It's an absurd and completely out of character moment. Same goes for River. It's where writer's abilities outstrip their abilities

They should have said that she got kidnapped by wraiths or that kang tao tracked her down. At least that would make sense but what we got is entirely out of character. Piss poor writing.

It made sense to me. She's a hothead (game calls her this) who holds grudges and has trust issues. She trusted you--something that took a lot of work--and then you disappeared without a trace for 2 years. Even if you had warned her ahead of the surgery, you would've had no idea you'd be gone for so long. This ending is meant to hurt a little - to hit on the theme of self-ishness vs. self-sacrifice. You picked the selfish option, which is stated outright by Songbird's dialogue.

I wasn't a bit surprised at Panam's reaction because she didn't act out of character - you did, to her.
