Reported Crime - Delivery From Above...What the heck?
This NCPD alert comes up on the map...you go to the site and find some useless stuff...does it mean anything? I think this may have been added in with Patch 1.6... I'm not aware of it tying into any other part of the story...am I missing something?

The site is way down in the south Badlands...you find a locker that looks dropped from way up...inside are two Legendary Anti-Surge Ice-Protected Netrunner Infovisors that look very cool but have a 2.0 armour rating and no special properties whatever. A little bit away, there's a dead netrunner beside a burned out car.

Let me also say I'm very tired of 'Legendary' items that are completely undifferentiated and often inferior to identical items at lower quality levels.

Think that's one of the hidden gems.
Are the visors descriptions a big paragraph of info from Spider Murphy? If so then yeah, it's a hidden gem, and part of the Netrunner set.
There is a set for each of the Rolls (Solo, Corpo, Cop ect) and the items are iconics aswell as legendary.
They are more flavour items and roleplay items than anything else (unless you have the StreetStyle mod lol. Then they can be useful for their stat buffs)

Say you like to play your V as a Solo....you can collect the boots, pants, tee, jacket, techvisor of the legendary Solo set, and wear them for looks.
Slap them together in the Wardrobe function and the game will let you LOOK like you are wearing those 2.0 armour items, while using the clown got dressed in the dark set of best gear for your stats.

Yeah...I can see that collecting the various clothing sets might appeal to some players. I still don't understand why so many Legendary pieces of clothing and other items are basically indistinguishable from far more run-of-the-mill pieces. When I started playing this game, finding a Legendary was a thrilling moment. Now it's a big yawn almost every time.

Actually, most of the class (roll) sets are different from the legendary versions of the same mesh.
The Solo pants, for example.
They share the same mesh as FemV's 2nd pair of pants. Which also share the same mesh as Rogue's (I haven't seen the male version myself yet lol)
But the straps are a metallic purple.
(Which match fantastically with the predator jacket and exo boots she can give you if you are playing that ending with her)

Start wise, the best in slot is pretty much Johnny's set, upgraded to legendary (probably at max level too)
But that is why they gave us the wardrobe set.
People were annoyed because they looked like crazed clowns (and we all know that Ozob Bozo is the last of the Bozo clown gang) and hated this piecemeal look, if they wanted the best gear (those who wanted NOT to have to pump 18 points into tech to craft Johnny's set at least)

There is a mod on the Nexus that might be what you are looking for.
It's a WIP right now, only has Johnny's set done... But the maker says they want to add more sets.
Adding 'set bonuses ' like in games like diablo where equipping a full set (or part of a set) gets you good bonuses.
Johnny's set focuses on damage for the Malorean gun (which makes sense since it's his gun lol) and I think, armour (which you could use as another in game reason why he's such a badass in his memories, but the guns not as good when V gets it, I'm told)

Not sure if they are going to focus solely on the iconic sets, or branch out into the legendarys of other clothes.
There are items that, from their description, could be put together to form new sets.
(I use a mod called StreetStyle, which assigns tags to clothing such as NeoMilitarism, Kitsch or Entropism. The 4 main clothing 'styles' in the game, as shown in the posters ect. There are just enough items in that, listed with both Kitsch and The Mox, that you could create a legendary set of Mox gear (a couple of leg items, couple of outer torso and one of each of face/head/feet/inner torso) if they wanted to.

Might be worth tracking that mod (the legendary sets mod I mean) to see if it helps separate the iconics from the just legendarys.

TBH, I find one of the fun things to do in the game is create sets of clothing with various properties and tailor V's 'look' to match the mission, Armoured, Edgerunner, Ninja, etc. He does look a little clownish in the beginning sometimes, but once I get up to Tech 16 and can recycle mods, I like the effect just fine. I'm not at all crazy about the new Wardrobe system, and never use it.

Hm.... Have you looked at 'StreetStyle' then?
It actively encourages you to pick certain styles for the buffs you get.

As I've said, it tags gear with the four main styles from Cyberpunk.
Entropism, NeoMilitarism, Kitsch and NeoKisch.
But many other, secondary tags too.
Corpo, Arasaka, MiliTech, NCPD. Maelstrom, Valentino's, TygerClaws and 6thStreet ect.

It gives each item extra stats for the atribues, from +1 to +5
Then counts up all the numbers and create an average.
If you are wearing 6 items of gear with the same tag, you get a +5 to 'style' buff, which it applies to your skill throws. (You know, like body to open doors, cool to reply ect)
It also adds a +2 to +5 range for each attribute stat for its calculation, worked out from the numbers.

However, it raises the numbers you need for the checks, so you can't just cheese your way thru.
Access points in the Little China area, for example, need an int of 9 to jack into (unless they are those rooftop ones that have no requirements)
The wardrobe function (when you have the StreetStyle mod active) interacts with it. (It can be turned off in config)
The mod treats what people 'see' V wearing (via wardrobe) for the stats boost. But treats what is in your equipment slots for armour and mod slot ect.

So if you were equipped with the full Johnny set, but were wearing the Netrunner set (plus the one +5 Int jacket) in your wardrobe slots, you would get +5 to Int and +5 style buffs, but gain the armour boosts of Johnny's set gear.

It also has a secondary function (default turned off in config, due to crashes. You know its got to stay off if you load a save, equip a wardrobe/outfit item and ctd after enabling to test lol) called 'mimicry'
The secondary tags come into play there.
There's a vid on the mod page, from YouTube showing the mod maker wearing the Arasaka hazmat suit and helmet with cam.... Using this to walk into the depot where the Float is stored. Not using the corpo trick of threatening the gate guard. Just walking in, avoiding the security guards visibility arcs and not getting too close to them.
They were able to walk right in and get the job done, walk out again lol.
Its supposed to work with gang gear too.
(Never managed it yet myself tho lol)

I use it for both the gameplay aspect and roleplaying.
My Nomad girl tries to only wear gear tagged with Nomad (Secondary, under Entropism) while my Corpo likes to stick to NeoMilitarism and Corpo tags. My StreetKids tend to get Kitsch, and I have one StreetKid who I play as a Mox.
Plus, whenever I go and do 'Monster Hunter' I always equip the Mox set and pretend I'm disguised as one of the Mox since they paid me (via Regina lol) to deliver Jotaro to their ahem...tender mercies XD. (And I always stun him and deliver him...its poetic justice lmao)

When I meet up with Jackie and we go to the AllFoods, I now use a set of Entropism gear that's cobbled together from the wolf school jacket and tee, V's pants (the black leather like Rogue's ones) some biker's shorties boots and the white cloth headband that is swaped to black leather Wraith's hood. Looks pretty cool, like a monster hunters outfit lmao.

Fun little Easter Egg about the solo/netrunner/fixer etc clothing sets. You know those paragraphs of text on them, they are from the Cyberpunk 2020 rulebook as sidebars for each role in the game.

Yep!
I nearly laughed myself out of my chair the first time I read Morgan's quotes on the Solo shoes XD.
(The easiest ones to find at the start of a new game, one of the few items NOT on a body, too.)

You can also find both a shard for the cyberpunk 2020 rule book (the basic detes for the game) and the Solo's handbook by Morgan at the AllFoods plant.
Downside is, it requires you to side with the Corpo's. Because its in the room Royce comes out of.
Can't get inside there if you sided with the gang (I've tried lol) but the shutters are down and the door next to it is uninteractable.
If you are siding with Stout/Gilchrist you hang a left when facing the shutter, there is a door there in the corner.
The 2020 handbook shard is resting on the arm of a sofa in that room.
To the right of you facing that, is another door. That Leeds to the room Royce is in. There is a purple item inside one of those metal boxes the 'bounce back mrk1's' usually come in, some consumable items on his desk and the handbook shard.

Also, you can read his files on the PC. There is a list of who they can sell the flathead too.
Dex is on the list (of course)
But it also says "That ♥♥♥♥♥ at the Afterlife"
Lovely. Looks like Maelstrom and Rogue would be heading for an argument then, one way or another (considering they klept some of the stuff she was looking for later)

Its little interactions like this, that I love about thus game.
Knowing maelstrom think this, then listening to Wakako talk on the phone to Rogue about the missing shipment from KangTao that she said "No, my boys would never do that, they know their place". Which then turns up later, on the Ebunike lmao after maelstrom klept it (and half the city was turning every bin bag, cardboard box and homeless bum stash over, looking for it)
Its part of why I love this game.

This is a technical issue in a different version of the game than the previous post. I recommend starting a new thread in the technical forum if you haven't already. It's not relevant to story discussions from an earlier version of the game.
