The very moment when they was separated from Johnny, cuz since then V becomes the construct, a digital mind. Maybe a perfect copy, no difference for the others, but still a copy. Thats why it names Soulkiller after all.
It actually makes me kinda sad and disappointed. The original V, who experienced so much throughout the game and whom we played most of the time - dies. I wish there was an ending where u can be cured without being separated from ur body, even if it costs Johnny's live - i wasnt so obsessed about him.
It just so happens that it can't actually be accomplished.
You play a low life degenerate character who has a terminal disease. This will never change.
So basically the entire game has no point. There is nothing to accomplish in the game world besides worthless steam achievements for collector players that like that sort of thing.
There is no problem in letting V/Johnny always die but you play a game to accomplish something. So there should have been a big plot point to accomplish. Then let v/johnny die.
In the end it's an awful story and no matter how many times you replay it 80% of every story is the same. You get a couple decisions that influence the game while you are playing but all the big pay offs are all post game story. That's not real decision making.
But V died long before the ending, he was killed by Dex end of story for him, and there is no chance for if not the relic. The story is about the false hope of cheating the death with technology, but death is innevitable. V goes through phases of denial, grief and acceptance during the game.
That's on you.
I had some rather sad moments, among other things.
The main story is completely pointless. There might be 7 endings bit it's basically 3 with slight alterations to smaller aspects.
The only thing that has meaning is the secondary character stories. That is the only thing V can accomplish in the game.
There basically is no difference if you play V thru the main campaign or if ripper doc gave him 2 weeks and he died anyway.
It's starts as an interesting story but in the end I saw it as big failure.
The point of Super Mario Bros is saving the princess in the end if you couldn't accomplish because of "story" it would suck.
The point of cp2077 is to save V which can't be accomplished.
So either should have made him able to be saved or switched the focus to something else. Like V has 4 weeks left to live he is going to try an accomplish the job of jobs or xx or whatever.
Not have every story/plot in the game about saving V to find out you can't. Pointless.
Eagerly anticipating when the YouTube gang spins 7 kinds of dead 7 million ways across the next 7 years, lmfao.
Right there, I was presented with a meaningful choice. No matter how you loot at it, all the ending and the so-called choice you make lead to the exact same thing in CP2077.
Impact of rogue AIs (Mr. Blue Eyes could help you survive)
Impact of Alt's decision to assimilate the constructs and tie-back to Voodoo boys' quest
Decide the fate of Arasaka's leadership (Yorinobu, Hanako, etc.; outside of the Arasaka ending)
Cyberpunk 2077 offers the same end when you jump from the communication tower (NOMAD) at the beginning as when you complete all the tasks, DEATH. So it is as pointless to play it as playing Snakes and Foxes.
But this only illustrates the emptiness of the whole cyberpunk 2077 world. I think Arasaka put Soulkiller on Cberpunk 2077, because otherwise I can't explain how insignificant a sight I get whenever I look back at the game. You win boxing fights, car races, you play a rock concert, and you're still surrounded by just brainless zombies.
Very sad.
We defeat the dragon and rescue the prince/princess then ride of into the sunset on a unicorn. WTF is wrong with that?
It could have a sad endinging but in this case it makes the entire central storyline completely pointless.
They should have made saving V the dude story give him something to accomplish during the campaign.
The entire campaign is about saving him which can't be done. Destroys the entire purpose of the story.
