But there's Johnny in the expansion so... eh.
vidscreen switches to old-timey tv static
ghost of Alt and Johnny show up at the end of a hall
"We're baaaaaack."
heads tilt to the side in unison
"Come play with us."
If he can rewrite someone's personality - he can rewrite someone's personality to be like V, right?
On Mr. Blue Eyes promise: That's exactly what he's implying when he promises V more than they can imagine to paraphrase. To me it's a bit too much promise and seems more of a deal with the devil than the Arasaka route lol. Instead of a deal with the devil corps you know, it's a deal with the devil AI you don't. I'm guessing the AI are probably as advanced or ahead of Arasaka on the transhuman front going by their plots in game. :P
Interesting enough the various AI plots revolving around Mr. Blue Eyes and other characters also seems to be connected to the subversion/infiltration of Militech and by extension NUSA (and possibly Night Corp etc.) There seems to be quite the AI conspiracy going on that's already undermining the future of the 2077 world as humans know it.
I wouldn't be surprised if the new expansion opens up either a new ending or new variations of existing endings. It depends if the expansion plays like another main quest line as an alternative to the other main quest lines for saving V's life. I don't see V having time to declare their allegiance to the NUSA otherwise. Maybe by the end of it V gains some type of boost or secret technology that helps them have a better more stable engram/body outcome.
Don't get your hopes up though. :p
Or, maybe - other option. Alt did point out she didn't manage to completely separate Johnny and V. So some bits and pieces of Johnny will remain with V and some bits and pieces of V will remain with Johnny. Maybe there's more of Johnny that stayed with V than Alt thought?
