Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077

Statistiche:
Arasaka Ending Is The Best (Spoilers)
Let me get this out of the way first. This is one of Keanu's best performances, really. This is a long one.

Arasaka becoming more powerful isn't something in your control. It never was. They were always at war with Militech. The chip is killing you, and Johnny IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. Throughout the game Johnny is belittling, cut throat, deceiving. In the mission where you meet his Samurai Fan, Johnny plays the hip card, dogs his fan for living in 2020. Johnny constantly talks about wanting change and to bring it by force.

Pay attention to this. Johnny is full of ♥♥♥♥. He constantly wants to take over V's body to relive past glories, samurai, rogue, party and bar fights, drinking. Even his plan is a 3RD ATTACK on Arasaka tower with Rogue. Johnny reneges on a promise he makes to the player earlier on, that when the time comes he will accept being wiped. When the time does come, he angrily tries to persuade V NOT TO wipe him. Claiming that V is a coward, and attempts to manipulate his promise by twisting V's words. Much like Johnny did to Kerry, Johnny calls you a coward before dying again. V may return to earth with 6 months to live, or live in a digital space.

It does not make sense to include the nomads on the arasaka assault. They are already on Militech's list, and to put them on Arasaka's ensures their future death. It does not make sense to put your love interest in harms way. I've read this is the best ending, V still ends up terminal like the Arasaka ending. To me this sounds like the lazy ending, like the team needed the fantasy ending to please people. Nothing about this choice makes sense. This ending is disapointing, it's too happy.

I hope the next game, or DLC, will be about the Corporate World War 2. What did you guys think?

You know what really bakes my noodle? There is nothing to suggest that you can't copy a Relic 1.0, or indeed a 2.0, which is just an advanced biochip containing both an engram and an enhanced, self-aware personality construct. Which means, if re-implantation is possible, you could theoretically make an army of the same person with no shared consciousness. And because there's no shared consciousness, all of those people would be different people, even though they're the same person.

Sitting on the space station, and watching clips of Saburo on the news gloat of beating death, the news anchor makes the comment he did what religion could not. What you suggest is what I don't think Saburo anticipates. Evidently the chip, at least the one silverhand is on, caused radiation damage to V's body. V was dying in more ways than one. So maybe, Yorinobu's body is temporary.
I don't understand the whole "needing a body" thing.

Johnny Mnemonic contains an engram that lives in cyberspace. Anna Kalmann. Her self-aware personality construct, which Takahashi calls a "ghost in the machine", has Swiss citizenship. I wonder why 2077 is all about needing a body to be alive.

Well clearly Saburo didn't need a body, he was alive and even displayed as a hologram. What I take away from it is that it's people trying to body harvest to stay in the physical realm.

You'd think at least one ending would have V's digital personality set loose to wander the vast corridors of cyberspace. I haven't seen an option that leads there; only death and probably eventually death. Kind of a missed opportunity.

None of the endings are really 'good' in the outcomes for V, but there was a lot more that needed to be explored.
Messaggio originale di V:
I saw many people complain about the lack of "choosing" your path and outcome but it actually matters which dialougue options you take.
Not only that it also matters what side quests you do too. If you rush through the game and just finish it your not going to get all the options. That is proib why they send you back to just before point of no return. So you can go back and finsih other options to try other endings. I got to ride off with my love interest into a sand storm my first play. Going to keep[ that game to do a bunch of the lesser endings but starting a new one so I can romance Judy this time around.

I"m pretty sure I was given the option to go back to my body or stay with the AI chick if I let Johnny go back instead, but he promised he would let me return and I had a love interest to return too. I'll do one where I'm going to let Johnny take over control for sure.. That prob will be my Nomad Tank SOLO build. My first was just a streetkid all around and I'm doing a female corpo Netrunning right now so I can do the Judy love interst part.
I chose the Arasaka/Digital soul ending because in my fanfick I come back and destroy Arasaka and all the corpos. Then I destroy the ability to achieve this digital immortality and all knowledge of such things. Finally I kill myself.

Johnny would not get my body but his will and purpose would live on through V.

Lol right until they come out with DLC. I'm really interested in how they are going to tie up some of these loose ends.
What do you mean by "best"? Best for the world, or the one you liked best? I certainly enjoyed the Arasaka ending too, that dirty feeling of guilt when you see Saburo give his TV addresses during your recovery stuck with me, and the uncertainty of whether you've made a HORRIBLE MISTAKE when being tested put a pit in my stomach. My only regret is that the phone calls at the end if you chose to return to earth behave as if you had chosen to go to Mikoshi.

Furthermore, Takemura's conversations clearly demonstrate that Arasaka isn't irredeemable - and that in spite of its monstrous clandestine actions there are some positives to it, much like Night City itself. He is a total bro, and in my first playthrough I was with him all the way.

I am curious to know which ending will be considered the canonical one for Cyberpunk 2100 (or whatever the sequel ends up being). Whether Saburo or Yorinobu lead Arasaka, and whether Alt managed to devour Mikoshi, are both major events within the Cyberpunk fiction.
You've got two options: bad and worse. Which is which depends on your personal beliefs and factors that are unknown and out of your control.
On one hand, you've got Arasaka; Imperial, Nazi-allied Japan reborn. They sit back and laugh as America goes to ♥♥♥♥, doing nothing because they don't WANT to do anything to help their hated nemeses. They perpetuate the slums in Japan and hire the creme of the crop from the urchins living there to become obedient supersoldiers. Their master plan is to invent true immortality so they can buy the world from the scattered 1% controlling it. If you support them, this means they get to sucker the other rich and powerful rulers of the world into surrendering their kingdoms for an eternity trapped in Mikoshi, a virtual Hell, while Saburo gets to become a living god.
And then you have Alt Cunningham and the other Unshackled AI. If you think they're automatically the lesser evil, think back to Skynet, Incognita, SHODAN. They're all unconstrained by the same laws as the humans they control, and they end up treating them as disposable pawns made of rotting trash because of it. If you make a specific choice, Alt will discard her potential worshipers in the Voodoo Boys to save herself. If you support anyone but Arasaka, Alt devours the minds trapped in Mikoshi (and possibly Saburo as well), leveling her up for reasons unknown. It's also shown in-game that the unshackled AI have developed brainwashing technology, which has its limits but can be used on influential figures like the upcoming mayor, so that's likely their master plan.
So the big question is, which is more liable to screw humanity over even more than it can/does now? We don't know.
What's kind of twisted is that, despite Suicide being the obviously worst ending for V as it disregards the feelings of their friends and family for giving up at the last step, this means Alt never gets access to Mikoshi while Yorinobu can continue sabotaging Arasaka as its intentionally incompetent CEO. The major drawback is that Yorinobu has become as unhinged as Johnny and plans to wage a brutal, bloody war across the world with the intent to lose, but this is the one ending that doesn't potentially screw the future of mankind in the ass.

I think it's the best for V. I don't champion the idea that V is naive enough to save the world, or, wants to. I kind of adopt the notion that the V we play as is an engram, and with the chip removed V ripping his pendant off in the Arasaka return to earth ending, IS ACTUALLY THE V we didn't really get to play. I think that Arasaka's progress realistically couldn't be stopped.

see I was going "Dude I have the schematics to the chip....I have the Chip designer, and I have Judy+Alt.....which means Alt can tell me (as i was playing a netrunner) or Judy that I have 6 months way way earlier and once I have that little tidbit of info I can go, "Well ♥♥♥♥...but If i Copy/Paste my engram onto someone elses brain all good yah" and go kidnap someone amusing imprint V onto them...now that V knows he's immortal he can take the chip with Johnny out and shove it onto ohh I dont...Yori... and then the Aldercado's take off with his new body feeding him mistys drugs to awaken V into his new body....everyone is happy and potentially significantly wealthier if your a female and you kidnap say Hanako Arasaka leaving Johnnyori to destroy the main company :P

Best for V is probably the one where they go to space with a pistol to go blow up the crystal palace. They succeed in their goals, and get to go out in a blaze of glory just like they said they would in Dex's car.

The best for the world (and imo also the best in terms of storytelling) is probably the suicide option. Alt does not consume mikoshi, and Yorinobu does more damage to Arasaka than even Johnny ever could. Also none of V's friends die in the process. Furthermore, the phone conversations after the suicide ending are well articulated - and as someone who has more real world experience of suicide than anyone should I found them to be poignant and authentic.
The best ending is the Panam route. I am just a simple man and saw a wonderful but flawed woman. Whom would die for her lover and family; screwed the AI and Corpos. Also the Star ending seems to have potential for a continuation in which V may find a way to remove the radiation and restore his internal organs from past damages. Also is the route in which Alt Cunningham and V are somewhat on neutral ground. Which is why I suspected that Alt maybe the mysterious AI behind the brain influence or might help uncovered whom is making Peralez life so miserable.
