Voodoo Boys: what you did with them?
I killed every Animal, then didn't side with Netwatch. I was superupset that Placid wanted to use me as a suicide drone. Immidiatly punched in the face when i saw him, but didn't like he kept my eyes like he wanted to say something still...

Then Brigitte bought me on the fact she was captive and couldn't know about Placid plans, but I didn't forget what they had done to Evelyn. It's them that messed with their brain as punishment for the shard, and as a consequence she was sold like meatbag and abused in every way possible. And Brigitte still calls her ♥♥♥♥♥.

Then living Johnny's memories I got super-raged for what arasaka did to Alt, also becouse leaving inside his memories i got all the rage and the emotional rollercoster.

When I woke up Brigitte was all about "We don't need you anymore and don't care about the relic", and "Our agreement with Alt is that you can walk away". Yeah, thanks a lot, you used me like a meatbag for your porpuses and you even give me the favour to "walk away".

My lady, a "thank you and good luck" would have saved your sorry ass, becouse I did walk away, stepping on the corpses of your entire gang that is no more.

So in a day i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ animals, netwatch and voodoo, felt a little better, was a good catharsis for all the ♥♥♥♥ V has to eat.

Coming from the tabletop games, voodoo boyz were evil to the core, almost as evil if not more than the corpos, I mean the sort that would kill, torture and rape for no other reason than a few laughs. I dunno if they retconed anything other than the gang now being all haitians. But going from the actions of their leaders, I wouldn't go as far as to say they're any better than their old selves.

I took out my guuun. Then it went pew pew pew
I side with NetWatch puking holes on the blackwall isn't a great idea and i was hoping to get some quests from those guys but was not in the cards.

On my first playthrough, I punched the NetWatch agent and Alt killed them.
On my second playthrough, I punched the NetWatch agent again, but when Alt didn't kill them, I went on a murder spree.
On my third playthrough, I'll side with the NetWatch agent (unless that conflicts with getting the secret ending), see what happens.

First playthrough - I sided with the Voodoo Boys all the way, being the naive person that I am. I actually thought they were looking at the big picture or something, that NetWatch are just being control freaks in trying to access their network. Their dialogue suggested that they are preparing for a cataclysm of some sort. "We will be ready" and all that jazz. Made me think rogue AIs are preparing to make a move or something. So... I did everything they asked of me like a good dog, and later avoided confrontation with them.

Second playthrough - sided with NetWatch just to see what happens. It made me pretty mad, but I got even madder afterward when they just zapped all the VB netrunners and Brigitte. I wanted to do the zapping, dammit! >:C

And that's what I'm intending to do with my current third run.

Depending on when you do the mission (early or after having biffed up with sidequests) and your build (especially if you are a stealth netrunner), the fight might be difficult since when you take your gun out everyone in the room starts shooting at you, after that everyone is alerted and a face to face confrontation with Placide, wich is a boss type, is unavoidable.

So just biting your tongue and strolling out of the building might be a really viable option if you want V to survive, no cowardice in it.

If I were V, I wouldn't have trusted the netwatch, but I would have meticoulusly planned a revenge served cold, the "you get a bullet in the back of your head without seeing me at all" style. But the game doesn't give you this option, becouse later those character are no more to be found in the game.

As a pure netrunner I had no trouble hacking my way out of the building and through Placide. Only pulled my gun to put one in his head after he was already down. System Reset auto-defeats most bosses. Only ones I can think of off the top of my head that it doesn't work on are Sasquatch, Adam Smasher, and anyone using an exoskeleton.

Yeah, but that's a pretty late build. Also how did you deal with Brigitte and all the other chooms in the room that attack you at once?

Netwatch killed them for me while I was talking to Alt. Weird that you had to fight them...

There's another way as described in the main post: if you DON'T side with netwatch, after coming back from behind the blackwall, Brigitte and all the other runners in the room are alive of course. But Brigitte goes on beeing a ♥♥♥♥♥ and you have a dilogue option to take out your gun wich results in all the VooDoo turning hostile.

So the ones in the first room you have to take down with guns (Brigitte should go down first since she is in front of you and un-epically have her shred to pieces).

After you have cleared the first room then you can play your quickhacking trick with the rest of the building, but they all alerted. I have a netrunner/stealth build, but in this case I got blood in my eyes and went for a bullet killing spree.

Ah, ok. That makes sense.

As lame as it may sound, but Armadillo + upgraded rare+ Quasar (so you can put Countermass in it) can turn any build into a gun-toting tank, so I'm pretty confident I'll mop the floor with them.

People who think that it's good to kill anyone outside their genetic community after they outlived their usefulness (V wasn't the only who received that friendly treatment) deserve death. Wish I could massacre their other base too but game protects them via "safe zone".

On the other hand Animals seemed like the most decent gang out there too simple and busy pumping iron to do all kinds of crap other gangs do while also having some notion of pride.
