The mystery of Act III
So I've been looking at various guides and stuff and most of them seem to agree that this game only has two acts. Yet I'm several hours into Act III and have done a few different Act III exclusive quests. What gives?

Oh! Someone finally responded. Still not much to go on, though. Just finished the game and saw the credits and I gotto say that from where I'm sitting Act III seemed to go on for about as long as Act II

There is no Act III. The final mission of Act II is the assault on Arasaka tower which is the final mission in the game.
There is also never a transition to a ACT III title screen like the first two.

From CDPR themselves:

How many acts are in the Cyberpunk 2077 story?

There are only two acts in Cyberpunk 2077. The first act ends shortly after you see the Cyberpunk 2077 title flash up at the end of a certain pivotal quest. From there, technically, you’re in the final act of the main story.

First Act is everything till the end of the Heist when you see the title logo.
Everything after that till the end of the game is Act II.

It definitely said "Act III" on my screen. Not trying to troll or anything, I'm being serious. In the upper left of the screen. Didn't stay for very long and I suppose it could have been easy to miss.

Then you are just plainly mistaken. The game has 2 acts, end of story.
Also the Act transitions are a big black screen with white letters across, Act 1 and Act 2.
Not "somewhere in some corner it said Act 3".

So unless you can provide a screenshot as evidence or ANY text that says you are in the nonexisting Act III, you are still in Act II.

Yup, that's it. Must have just left a bunch of side stuff unfinished from Act II so the third act with it's one story mission felt longer.

Thats just the popup when the game tells you that you reached the point of no return and to finish up all remaining side missions before meeting with Hanako.
Its still Act II.

The word "Act III" never appears in the game in any shape or form.

I'll make sure to screenshot it on my current playthrough when I get there.

It appears. I have myself seen that at the left hand side of the screen.

I am also at Act III for past two days and afraid to meet Hanako as it warms me with point of no return.
My question is that if I went ahead and finish the game will I be able to play the side quests after that or the game just ends?

The game ends, but after the credits there's a prompt to return to just before the last mission with a few extra goodies you earn during the finale
