More Options w/ Gorilla Arms
Can something be done to make these more satisfying to use in combat? I have a build that's about getting in enemies faces with shotguns and my gorilla arms but it'd be awesome if I could punch peoples heads off, rip limbs off, maybe grab and throw people, etc. Make the gorilla arms function like actual gorilla arms; I want to be able to manhandle people. Maybe it could benefit from higher body stats as well, making some of these moves easier to pull off with higher body.

Yeah I agree. I saw in one spot, I forgot where, but a MaxTac guy lifted a car up on its side and used it as a sort of makeshift cover. It looked super cool before I cut him to pieces, but I think having that option yourself would be an amazing thing to add on.

Agreed. Before the game released I thought that the Gorilla Arms would be the 'thinking man's' aug in that it would have creative uses. Maybe they could just remove the ability to open doors with body unless you have the gorilla arms?

I think it's weird that some doors need only technical skill and some need only body... Like how can I only force open some doors? and how come I can only pick the lock for some? You can't tell me why I can force open a huge garage door, but not rip open a door to a motel room lmao

You'd think the Gorilla arms would give a strength boost to blast-door strength checks, or the monofillament wire would give a bonus to technical skill checks. But nope, they're just weapons that replace most of your arms. Kind of a disappointment.

I just want the monowire to actually function like it does in Johnny Mnemonic. Even if it doesn't OHK, the dismemberment chance should be basically 100%. Really, something better than a weak ass lite brite whip would make me happy.

And while we're at it, how bout not having almost every heavy attack with mantis blades lead into the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kill move(which gets you killed half the time doing it)

If you face-tank every enemy with zero stealth while using the mantis blades you'll pretty much never see that stupid animation. Only seems to happen for me when initiating combat against unaware enemies; never in the middle of combat.

I'll try that. My current go-to for melee blitzes is a machete, since a lack of kill animation doesn't, um, kill the slow-mo effect when you use it. I find it will end early if you get pulled into an animation, like with katanas for instance.

But that's exactly how it works in Johnny mnemonic. It's a 1 to 1 replica. Both in terms of how you use it, and also visually. You don't hack with it - you cut with it.
