stash filters.
it seperates things into the same filter tab you have in your personal inventory
(guns/melee/grenades/healing/quickhacks/junk/clothes)
so, while it does not actually place your clothing into another stash, the filter means you can find things easier.
so if you don't want to mod or more specifically install their prerequisites... maybe it's your "don't want to" that might be the issue, not the closet?
What I mean is, maybe you're misunderstanding v2.x clothing... in vanilla, the few rare perked clothing are not on but select pieces, and anything you've touched, whether sold or scrapped, shows up as wearable in your wardrobe when designing what you want to wear in your 6 outfit slots; you don't have to "collect" clothes like 1.x.
I have ~21 actual clothes items but and 12 pages of things to wear.
The only items that still use bonus stats are certain chest armours, tech visors/goggles, BD wreaths, gasmasks, Netrunning suits, ocusets and helmets tbh.
If you are using just the vanilla wardrobe then you only need to keep the highest grade version of each one you wear (which you usually are equipped with) and can rely on the wardrobe function to transmog your look to any of the others.
I'm running a lvl 15 atm, I have one green grade chest armour, one green grade Netrunner suit, one green grade motorbike helmet and one green grade gasmask equipped. Legs and feet don't have stats anymore so I just slap on anything there and cosmetic my outfit via wardrobe
(So I don't look like I'm auditioning to join the Bozo clown gang XD)
As soon as I get the next (blue) grade chest armour, I equip it and disassemble the old one.
I'll do the same with the other 3 slots as and when I find upgrades.
The only clothing items I would collect to keep are the iconic 'roll' items such as the Solo set, Cop set, Techie set ect.
You know they are the iconic ones because they have a chunk of flavour text in the description box.
The Netrunner set has a quote from Spider Murphy. Solo set's quote is from Morgan Blackhand, and so on.
At least, when using the vanilla wardrobe system, as it remembers things you have, and things you have looted/picked up or equipped at least.
Yeah, dependency and framework mods can be a pain to deal with (pointing to the chaos from today's patch 2.11)
But sometimes its easier to grab a mod than to hope enough folks yell out to ask for the same things you want, and for the company to hear you.
