Mods are not working with GeForce now.
As in the title, is there any option to add workshop for mods into cyberpunk 2077? Without it, GeForce now players (app that enables playing on high-end PC via cloud gaming) can't use any mods whatsoever.

In the future, more people will be subscribed to such services, as new PC cost, that can run Cyberpunk in 1080p Ultra settings + ray tracing, is like 6 years of cloud gaming service subscription cost, any players can choose to just to pay a fraction of it to play the game. I'm in that situation, I would love to have modded Cyberpunk, but there's no reason for me to buy it for now, as I can't mod it on GeForce now.

Unless they add the mods to the workshop of Steam, it won't be possible. Like many other titles that don't have workshops in Steam, it is simply not possible because it is not happening locally and Nvidia isn't about to allow you to download software and install it on their cloud PCs.

I know, that's why I want the workshop

I believe that should be enabled by the game developers.

Loaders are required to launch mods properly and without the game crashing. Nexus with its loaders maintained by Nvidia as third party software that changes game files. Aside you can't run any third party software and because the game files are altered Nvidia can no longer guarantee a satisfactory game.

But don't worrry. We get all the mods re-released as DLC by CDPR later. ;)
As they do it with Phantom Liberty right now.

No, you're thinking of Bethesda and their Creation Club.

As for the OP, not gonna happen. The problem with adding Workshop support is that any content added there would only be avalible to Steam users, and potentially create a split in the modding community.

Considdering that CDPR also owns GOG, a rival digital distribution platform to Steam, i don't think they will be tripping over themselves to give Steam that kind of exclusive support. I woulden't hold my breath for it.

Maybe it's time to own your own PC, instead of renting one over the wires?
