Make cybernetics optional
Don't force the player to get cybernetics from the ripper dock, so people can play an unaugmented playthrough.

Looks like we got ourselves a puritan on our hands.

Deus Ex prepared us for your kind.

Being augmented is objectively worse than being unaugmented. If you're not augmented you're completely immune to hacks, you can't be jacked in to something so someone can check if you're lying, and you're much harder to detect.

Your effiecively worthless in a cyberpunk society without cybernetics. Anyone with them is superior to you in every single way and they have trouble survivng, what hope would you have.

Completely wrong. Having cybernetics is a massive downside. Currently, I only use the ones forced on me by the game, and the only problem I've faced is enemy netrunners hacking me. If I was immune to hacking, the game would be much easier. I also turned off the HUD to show that cybernetics are worthless and I can beat the game without them.

I mean in a non-gameplay context. You can't carry as much, you can't take as much punishment, you heal slower, you can't interface with anything (the equivilent of basically not having a phone today), the list goes on. You'd have zero employment possibilities, any 2 bit punk could probably ice you in a single punch, and you wouldn't even be able to use even the basics of economy.
Wasn't it said we had the option to play the game without cybernetics if we wanted to?

They force you to take the subdermal grip and kiroshi optics. They also forcefully give you the jack, so you are suspectible to being hacked.

You're just mad because you know I'm right. A few questions for you.
1. Why would I want to use the economy when I could just rob people?
2. Why would I want to be able to interface? That just makes me trackable.
3. Who said I'd want to be employed?
It is a cyberpunk game so I suppose implants are the norm. Would have been nice though to have the option to play as a pure human with all the challenges that comes along the way.

They need it to be forced because of the space-magic stuff features.... as in you get hacked, and can hack others. Because in 2077, noone can turn off their Wi-Fi. Every futuristic game tries to have "magic" features, but its tech, or science!!!!

It's always stupid.

Yeah, forced augmentation is dumb. Most of my deep dive hacks on a targets head have been from a pistol round.
