DLSS quality at that resolution should be enough for a 50~60fps experience, if you want even more frames you can always drop down to dlss balanced and the game will still look great with transformer model, that is without any framegen for an input lag free experience.
Now if you don't mind the extra input lag that comes with framegen you can also try that out on top of dlss, personally I don't like it though since the added input lag makes you feel like you are playing below 60fps even if you will be seeing more frames.
If the upgrade is another laptop then my answer is no.
You know… scientific method and all that. Observe, ask questions, hypothesize, perform experiment, record results and form conclusion.
