Crash After Crash
I'm at my wits end here. I upgraded my pc mainly to play this game and bought the dlc yesterday and it keeps crashing at complete random everytime. I deleted my old save files and started a new one. I have tried a plethora of solutions and nothing seems to be working.

Sometimes I can run the game for 5-10 mins tops and the next it crashes before it even loads. This is what the report log shows.

Error reason: Assert
Expression: <Unknown>
Message: Gpu Crash for unknown reasons! Callstack here is probably irrelevant. Check if Breadcrumbs or Aftermath logged anything useful.
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\gpuApi\src\dx12\gpuApiDX12Error.cpp(42)

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

RTX 2070 Super. All drivers are up to date

did you try rolling back your driver to an earlier version?
you can uninstall the newest one, and then download and install a slightly older version.
(yes, yes, i know...MUSH HAVE LATEST DRIVER!!!! as they say. Except sometimes, the newest shiny crashes things)

I mean, If everything else has been tried, sometimes you got to try something a little gonk.

I'm not a programmer ect, but that string mentions the R6 folder, the gpu api and directX12 so maybe its connected to that?

I've been playing for a couple of minutes with the previous version of the drivers and no crashes so far. I swear to god if it was the drivers all along...

If you upgraded your PC, it would be a good idea to use DDU to completely remove any traces of your old drivers. If you switched GPU vendors (eg. from an AMD GPU to Nvidia GPU), DDU is especially important.

Won't make any promises it'll solve the crashes but it certainly won't hurt.

DLSS_D in the usersettings file, under appdata.

Make sure it is set to "false", or delete the file completely.

This helped for a while.

Yep same here. Since DLC installed it has been crashing non-stop.

Used DDU. Seems to have helped very slightly. Now it crashes after 5 minutes istead of 2-3 lol
