Help with overheating
Love the game so far and I am having a blast. However I have noticed that my PC runs very hot while playing this game. My PC usually runs games very well and doesn’t toast them but this is new to me. Twice now this game has caused my PC to shutdown due to temperatures despite both cleaning and dusting it. What can I disable to keep temps low?

My specs:

Desktop

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core

RAM: 32 GB

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Just as a heads up as well I get around 100+ fps on high settings too. Sometimes I can play for a few hours then there are times I can only play for about 30-45 minutes before pc starts slowing down due to temps then shortly it shuts off.

I have a Noctua D15 on my 5800x with a -15 CO undervolt. When rendering videos, my CPU temps get to the mid 80s °C. When gaming or running benchmarks from 3D Mark, the CPU never gets over 60° C. And I have a 4080 Super generating 360+ Watts of heat.

Something is wrong with OP's cooling. If using water cooling, make sure your pump isn't running or your fans aren't too slow. Bad heat block contact, bad paste, etc.

How long have you had the PC? The radiator could just be blocked with fluff/dust... Get a can of compressed air and blast it out.

Yes, that is a good tip. I ordered one of those along with the CPU and thermal paste, and it was very efficient. Air in a can... Who would have thunk... :steamhappy:

Not the same as the powered airguns we used when I studied electronics a few centuries ago, and you have to be careful and hold the can upright so that moisture / fluids don't come out with the air, but quite good.

Crazy how my crappy aurora r10 from 2020 with 3080, ryzen 7 3700x is not overheating, even though it has a terrible case with not many cooling fans.
