Doesn't matter how old the game is, if it's still selling well, then the price isn't likely to go down. However, it does get a pretty good discount regularly on Steam sales.
So your playthrough will go from like 55-65 hours (depending on questing done) to like 80-90 hours, it also adds alot of cool new weapons/armors/clothing etc.
You shouldn’t purchase multi-year old games at full AAA price based off of principle alone unless money is worth as much as sand in the Sahara for you.
The game goes on sale so frequently that there is no reason to purchase it at full price. You’ve evidently waited over 4 years; what’s a few weeks to a month more?
Elden Ring is entry into Next Gen as a whole. This game is a halo product for "current gen+". They should have done better, somehow.
Start Phantom Liberty before the final mission, and mix up side quests and gigs between Phantom and base game, this will help the base side missions not feel as sterile vs phantom liberty's side missions.
The best praise I could give this game is that it's film quality presentation in the form of a really good game, with amazing characters.
Albeit I don't find the replayability to be that high. Once finished I found myself unable to enjoy a second playthrough because I know how everything plays out already. There is also no NG+ or anything to make it more appealing.
