Lower bloom without disabling lens flare
I'd like to lower the amount of bloom without disabling lens flare.

Is it possible to write a script/file that decreases just the bloom, similar to the user.ini file suggested in https://steamcommunity.com/app/1091500/discussions/0/3875968032475167440/

I've seen some mods that can change graphic/RT settings using a file, so I'd like to know if this can be done somehow.

Cheers

Its not precisely what you want but you can change the digital color adjustment in nvidia control panel for example.

It makes the colours and lights less "juicy" and imo helps to reduce the bloom effect too.

Im using 60 % digital color adjustment and i think it especially had impact on CP which has lots of lights and all that.

To force disable bloom:

browse to the following folder
...\Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc
create a new text file and in it paste the following

[Developer/FeatureToggles]
Bloom = false

Save as userb.ini

Edit: lol! I didn't bother clicking through on your link until after posting, not realizing it points to me posting this in another thread.
My bad.

I don't think there's a way to incrementally adjust the level of bloom intensity, and that it's an 'on or off' effect, but also haven't bothered looking for mods to do so.
I disabled it to eliminate the edge flicker/shimmering that it causes when using ray/pathtracing combine with DLSS.

That's exactly what I referred to in the OP, but doing this disables the lens flare as well.

I want to keep the lens flare.

Aye, see above edit. My bad.

There's one other setting for bloom but since you said the above also turns off lens flare it may effect that as well thus becoming pointless.

[Rendering] BloomLuminanceClampFactor = 0.070000 ;default = 0.070000
Added the remark ";default = 0.070000" for when you make changes and want to know what default was. Yes keep it in the line of code. Game will ignore the remark. I've not tried the setting so no idea if it actually does anything. I'd suggest trying it and let us know if it helps, works, what setting you used etc. I would assume lowering the value decreases intensity.

I'm not a huge fan of bloom so may try this as well. But not today or soon as i'm just to busy atm. I mean bloom is ok but only at lower levels to me. So this would be great if adjusting the intensity actually did work.

I created a user.ini file and pasted this, set the value to 0.02000, no dice :(

OK looks like it's changed slightly with numbering. Not sure it makes a difference though. I know i've used it before and in dark areas it lowered bloom to much so i couldn't see. But like in Dogtown right now it's bloom everywhere and i don't see a change. When i was using it it was prior to when 2.1 came out. So not since they made all the graphic changes.

[Rendering] BloomLuminanceClampFactor = 0.06 ;default = 0.07
ok back to lurking

One possibility is to disable lens flare and bloom (via the usual method), and then use reshade to add back in the lens flare. It won't be exactly the same though, but you have some shader options regarding the lens flare. Could also add in a bloom shader that you can configure as well. It's an option, anyways.

Maybe turn down the brightness of your lcd panel? The ingame bloom seems tasteful to me. I don't have an HDR lcd panel and maybe you do. Could that be it?
