I also get VIMS in a lot of 1st person games—I really struggled in the Half-Lifes and Dooms, but that little dot in the middle of the screen seems to let me play CP'77 for hours without issue. I'll gladly take that over wondering if I'm about to puke for 30 minutes after quitting a game. It stopped being distracting for me after a couple of days.
Have you tried that option in the settings?
Provided you use it as intended - ONLY whilst walking or running (no weapon use) it will work fine (at least for V 2.01 which I am still on).
There is an add on to fix the elongated neck and wide shoulder issues that the TP models have. There is also an add on mod to make walking up and down the stairs better as well.
The mod author did a great job with the animations he had to work with (there are no TP shooting animations available, which is why it looks terrible if you try it).
The mod has a 360 degree camera and a debug menu if you need to reset.
The mod really comes into its own when walking the streets of the city - very immersive - well worth the download in my opinion...
