Could this be possible?

Like the skyrim mods? That would be awesome. Ai npc or some a smartass narrator. Lol

Yes XD But it would go a step further and create entire storylines! Wait, what exactly can the Skyrim Narrator do?

Not sure exactly how it works but npc are linked to chat gtp somehow, and they are interactive. There is also text to speech mods that can let say a twitch chat make npc say stuff. Not sure red engine is up to task but here is a link to some videos doing that.

I was just having a chat with ChatGTP about a cyberware that automatically logs events that happen in the game world and that predicts outcomes of interactions between different groups and NPCs XD It was fun.

Edit: Mhm, dynamic dialogue and voice overs would be some good...

Sounds awful.
The whole point of a game is that you get a specific experience curated and created by the game developers and writers. Generic AI-written slop would ruin all of that. Can't imagine anyone who seriously cares about games or art actually wanting such a thing.

The games need AI generated players.

Real human players are so 2020...

AI has no nuance, and until we can define nuance into a logic model, AI won't have nuance. We know what nuance is and use it all the time, but we're so far unable to accurately define it in specific terms.

Players will notice and tear apart any game attempting to use AI to generate "intelligent" quests rather than procedural quests (which players already ridicule).

Sounds nonsensical. Have AI narrate imaginary accounts of visiting real places instead & create a central consciousness engine.

There was an entire series of union strikes about companies using AI because of the sourced material required to train such things, paying other cheaper people to pretend to be the creators and performers trained by existing content. It included writers, too. It was across all entertainment industries including video games.

There were some holdouts claiming they could use any material in their libraries despite the artists never having agreed to a technology that didn't exist at the time of the contract. Only dumpster-diving developers resort to AI, now.

AI is a useful tool, but it is also a tool that cannot replace people without cheating those people whose performances and art were used to train the AI.

Then again, people who think it should be okay are either unaware of the personal costs involved or just don't care about anything or anyone beyond what they want. I've encountered way too many people who are of the latter variety to have faith that people who endorse trained AI production are the former.

Anything "AI" generated would get old fast, and would pale in comparison to actual human written story and dialogue.
CHINZIG 13. feb. kl. 12.45
I think we'll have to let it get more advanced for it to do that.

I can imagine this being a feature in future games, but it will have to be carefully managed to stay in context and advance the spirit of the game. That might be the tricky part.

it could definitely work... but it would suffer for it. And it would suffer a LOT.
