You're doing it wrong. No mods needed; the launcher is a beast in the right hands and with the right perks.

It starts out as bad as it always has been since they implemented their pathetic "fix" for it being OP. It still has that ridiculous offset to the bottom left fixed nerf to aim. However, it will smart lock at short range; no indication of it until after you fire though. By the time you crack the relic perks for it open it is a beast.

Unless you know you are in range for seeker mode then don't shoot at enemies, shoot at vehicles, the ground, walls, whatever, just something near them, Let the splash damage do it's work and build into explosion damage.

At lvl 60 on very hard I got some relic perkpoints left and tried out the projectile launcher for the first time [post 2.0]. Test object was a skull heavy weapons guy [during Firestarter quest]. Charged the launcher up and that guy was all over the place (read: one-shot).

I was like: damn, should've checked that out earlier.. :lunar2019grinningpig:

I'm just buffing mine up now and it's great fun. I love looking over the carnage when the dust is settled and see where all the body parts ended up lmao. You'd be surprised how far one leg can travel.

Launcher is pretty good, it can serve various builds in a pickle even if they don't spec into it, unlike blades that require specific builds to be useful. If it seems weak, it's probably because you need to upgrade it to higher tier since enemies "over-leveled" it (welcome to the beautiful world of level scaling).

The biggest problem I see with launcher is that the perks which affect it have a lot of benefits for grenades, but you cannot use both at the same time fluidly.

No its insane, but you have to invest into some perks in the teck tree to get the most use out of it, the relic +1 enhancement means you get a second charge out of it,

right some of them are enhanced by body or intellegance or cool, the base one is the only one enhanced by tech

Yep thats the problem ... you have to choose to go with either nades or launcher .... and ofc lm going to prefer nades -not only do they feel stronger ,but they dont consume any cyberware

Which was difficult in what ?

Yeah, it's garage. Its only worth using if you're fighting someone right in front of you. I understand the thing not locking on to a degree but it should go exactly where I aim it. I can't tell you how many times it has went right past an enemy 12 feet in front of me. The damn reticle needs to be smaller and it should go where I aim it. Its one of the coolest looking cyberwear but it sucks in my opinion. Way too inconsistent. They should've never nerfed it.

You can not be more wrong ! xD if you build your character right, the Launcher is so OP it's insane xD
Kazoh Oct 16, 2023 @ 10:50am
The one thing that makes it garbage to me is that I've never found out if it can be used through the hands quickslot instead of the quick access

It effectively costs 2 cyberware slots to be used, if there is no other way, also you lose access to camo, nades, etc.

If there is a way to use it and mantain other quick accesses cyberware, such as camo, then it is amazing, otherwise, it just sucks. You lose gorilla arms, mantis blade and monowires + quick access gadgets/items.

The word OP is so overused that it doesn't even mean anything anymore.

I think Doomlauncher might be the best Cyberarms by default because the Katana is so OP, that it doesn't make sense to use Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms or Monowire.
