Non Lethal weapon mod no longer working?
That's 2 cyberpsychos now that I specifically finish with my "non lethal katana" (according to some weapon weapon mod that it has) but they still die!!!
How come?

I can see only 4 reasons:
- bug?
- the weapon is blue rarity but the pax mod is green?
- I also used normal weapon first to put health down (since my normal weapon do more damage) but.. NO DOT (Damage Over Time)!
- other?

At least they were not cut into pieces, so the MOD somewhat worked out.. but they still ended up dead :(

When you see an enemy at 1%, stop hitting them. They should sway for a few seconds and then fall over, defeated. It is tempting to see the swaying and think you need to keep attacking, but this is incorrect. Try it out.

Even some gorilla arms provide electric, bleed, electric.

Secondary effects are not 'paxed'.

My electric gorilla arms the most reliable way of taking someone down without killing them, outside of stealth takedowns.

With the psychos - almost all of them - it's possible to use normal weapons, just make sure you don't apply DoTs or what have you. Once they go to 1% they're knocked out. There's that teleporting ninja though - once it teleports away he becomes "mortal" so using a regular weapon on him kill him. Not sure if it's a bug or not.

I've never seen much consistency with the lethal vs. non lethal options. It doesn't help that the highest quality military scanner in the world can't tell who's living or dead.

Yeah, I was wondering the same. That mod doesn't work. I tried several weapons and they all kill with this mod.

Explosives
Katana
Knives
Heavy Weapons like Precision Rifle or Heavy Machine Gun
Melee finishers
Takedown finishers
Hiding a body
Projectile Launcher
Suicide, Detonate Grenade, and CyberPyscho quick hacks.

Easy to accidentally kill with:
Any burst fire weapon
Any full auto weapon
Any Smart weapon (including Skippy now, even in Puppy Loving Pacifist mode)
Any head shot
Anything that applies additional damage effect, like a Pistol that also adds burning or electrified Monowire.
Grenades
Cyberware that electrifies on hit or reload
EMP perks or other perks that deal automatic damage
"Overkill damage": exp, a headshot crit by a sniper rifle when they are at 10%.
Monowire against multiple targets (wide aoe)
A fullstack of Cyberware Malfunction quickhacks (electric explosion)

Hard to accidentally kill with:
Fists
Gorilla Arms
Clubs
Combat Quick Hacks (Contagion, Shock, Overheat)
Shotguns
Revolvers
Takedown knockouts


I have found the Pax mod to not really work in 2.0. It is either bugged, or any weapon it would be used for are in the "always kill" or "easy to double tap and kill" category.


Summary: For cyberpyschos, ditch the Pax mod. Switch to shotguns or quickhacks when they are down to 10% or so, and avoid headshots.

All damage is non-lethal against cyberpsychos, and has been since before 1.6. Also, all DoT effects stop dealing damage when they go down. The only way to kill them is an extra attack or bullet as they're falling.

Against normal enemies, all "lethal" weapons have a chance to not kill, unless the final hit causes dismemberment. All dismemberments are fatal, except for those caused by deflected bullets.
