Mantis blades, Mono wire or gorilla arms?
Which one do you guys prefer?
I like the look of the mantis blades but they seem to do very little damage unless you fully spec into blade weapons.

I choose gorilla arm, new relic skill is really strong and easy to use.

Gorilla arms because it fits better for a military-grade cyborg.
Shotgun is the king xD

Unless they changed it in 2.0 the Mantis Blades didn't give immunity during the heavy attack finisher, and you would often die during that animation.
Gorilla Arms are pretty amazing with 2.0 though!

I like the Projectile Launch System to blast a group of enemies as an opener or to point blank any enemy hitting myself and get pyromania stacks. Gorilla Arms are pretty fun but I find my shotgun serves the same purpose and performs better but they do make the Boxing quest an absolute breeze. Mantis Blades and Monowire I have yet to use as I am a Body/Tech build. This is all without any of the relic perks.

Finishers are completely different in 2.0, and work the same way across all weapon types. You get them from perks or an active berserk, and they require button prompts. They're also all invincible.

I don't really see any reason to use mantis blades over katana. Katana does more than double the damage for some reason.

And honestly if you are using katana i would just go with the grenade launcher arms as best option since you will never switch to another melee weapon from your katana. And assuming you are using sandevistan you wont need monowire either.

However if you are playing with quickhacks obvious choice is monowire.

I tried em all on Very Hard. I really liked Monowire with Optic Reboot slotted, but it doesn't come online until late. Gorilla Arms are fantastic as well, paired with shotguns. Legendary Berserk is necessary.

Not sure what difficulty people play on, but the only one that's trash on Very Hard is Projectile Launcher. It basically does no damage on this difficulty and needs the numbers reworked. Or a mod that revamps it.

monowire, with the relic perk that applys a control quickhack, malfunction weapon works well since the enemy wont really be able to attack you.

Just finished a Body/Tech run on very hard. Fully chromed out with Gorilla and shotguns. It's possible to just run around with shotgun + quick melee combo, but Gorillas are better for bosses with Berserk, and the Q slam gives you aoe damage. Beserk + Gorillas is godmode, I farmed MaxTac for 20 mins yesterday before moving on. So different purposes for sure.
