Should I Play DLC Right Away?
I just got the call from Songbird. This is my third playthrough in the main campaign, so I already know what will happen in the main game. However, I want to complete couple of missions first before starting the DLC. Can I do those missions before going to the DLC, or does the DLC fail if you don't go there in time or etc. I know it is a silly question, but I just want to be sure.

You can either do those missions first or do the DLC and vice versa. Alternatively, you can do the intro quests for PL and once you finish them you can alternate between base game and DLC as you see fit.

I cant imagine there to be a timelimit on the dlc

I just used my old save file (near the end) and played a few hours to do some sidecontent before I entered the DLC.

One thing I forgot to mention is that it's during the intro quests for PL (Or more specifically, the first 1-2 quest) is when the Relic talent tree is unlocked. You can handle the game without it as it is just awesome goodies for cyberware (Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, etc), but if you want that then do the intro DLC quests first.

Thanks for the replies. If there is no time limit, I just want to finish some side quests before entering the DLC.

No, there is no time limit for the DLC. In fact, I think Phantom Liberty plays best when you do it AFTER the main story quests.

You should still do the DLC first. In fact, do it as early as possible, for the simple reason that it unlocks tons of extra goodies for you that will substantially enhance the experience of the main questline.

Contrawise, you can do what I did and leave the DLC until last, and have nothing to use all its juicy content on except for the stuff in the DLC.
