Crafting is gone?
So... the 2.0 update just completely removes the crafting and engineering perk trees? Strips down and simplifies a bunch more of it, and adds just odd extra things that are pretty much just the anime references? This isn't an upgrade this is a railroad imo.

Would you rather spend 18 attribute points in a tree you dont want?

Crafting isnt removed....its just not locked behind the skill tree.

Does it? Where did you saw that?

*Edit: Ok, I found it. I guess you checked the build planner. https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/build-planner

Idk, at first sight, I think I don`t mind it. Seems a net positive to me if in exchange of removing perks that just inflated stats I get to choose through perks that feel a little bit more like different abilities themselves. We will see for real when we try it I guess xD

Crafting requiring perks was stupid. Good to see that gone.

You still need to obtain blueprints and materials.

Big true. Was a horrible design choice imo, everything above normal made putting points into Tech. absolutely mandatory - which destroys this whole idea of replayabality and play how you want.

I mean - you don't really need to have the best stuff, game is easy, and if you din't put points into craft you put them into something else, probaly combat related, so it kinda balances it out.
And speaking of things that may or may not be mandatory - in 2.0 armor and implants are kinda locked behind tech and I see more and more people complaining online about that too. Can't wait for CDPR to completely remove tech stat from the game as part of another "quality of live improvement" lmao :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

What on Earth are you talking about?

It makes sense that if you spec into cyberware, you are harder to kill in a world where cyberware enhances you.

That just becomes the "tank" spec if you will.

I'm not talking about it, I'm telling what I see in the comments. I just see that is kinda similar situation - before people wondered why do you need to invest into tech to get the best guns, now some people wonder why you need to invest into tech to get all the implants.

Not even remotely the same thing.

Let's just hope devs agree with it, or they might "optimise" the perks again. If you have a stat in your game it has to give you something, and since tech is clearly hardware related, it has to do with youre shiny scrap.
In my opinion the approach was borked from the start, just think about it - how do you even craft a gun?
And one of the solutions is so damn simple - remove crafting from the game as it is an unnecessary waste of time and let tech specialist do what they should do - mods, many mods and better mods. Yes, we already have mods in the game, but techies could do better mods or something like this.

So, all the buffs for crafting are gone too then. Now why would you craft anything when it won't be better than what you buy. Anyone whose play style was 'build a better gun' is just... ♥♥♥♥ out of luck.

This whole respec feels like an oversimplification and 'we wanna make it like the anime' move.

If you don't want it, don't get it? The same can be said of any of the skill trees. If you're building a tank then just buy the better gun. If I want to build the better gun, I don't want to have to put points into Body perks either.

You can still build a better gun, its not mandatory anymore to put an unecessary amount of points into a skill tree that is only needed for building Epic/Legendary Armor and Weapons - which was not a good decision to begin with.

Before, you needed 18 in Technical Ability to get crafting perks.
Now, you need 18 in Technical Ability for Cyberware.

Nothing changed really, you will still need an automatic 18 / 20 in Tech for pretty much every single character.

How is that "need"? Has the difficulty changed? I remember a year or two ago talk about needing those Tech armor values but I never understood it... and I always played on very hard and all I remember is by the time I reached level 15 I felt OP

When you remove the buff for weapons you made, discounts for crafting and upgrading, bonuses for breakdowns, then what you craft is no different than what you buy. Why bother. Looking through it again, seems like every skill tree got the same kind of railroad nerf or outright eradication. This doesn't diversify the game to make you play different, it forces you to play one of THEIR archetypes.
