I had 16GB of memory and an FX6300 CPU.
Edit: that said, may require lowering some settings.
i had that card for a few months.
its pretty decent. it could run warhammer 2 medium at mostly 60fps.
but cp2077 2.0 i dont know. it might tho. low 30fps hopefully
its gonna be harder on the cpu anyway according to cdpr, 8core 90% load
2.0 just released, a 1050 TI(+i7 7700HQ, 16GB RAM) works just fine. 1080p medium works pretty well(avg. 32 fps, its usually between 25-40), or with dynamic resolution you can shoot somewhere between medium-high 30fps. Between low-medium with dynamic resolution gives somewhere around 40 FPS, selecting settings by hand.
OFC 40 before my CPU gets a heatstroke, after that the avg is around 30-32.
The system requirements are higher in 2.0, but it still runs way better and smoother on 1050 ti than it did around 2 years ago.
It still runs perfectly fine, this might be the newest crap this old lady can still run.
But your processor is what could really take a hit from this game as some i7 processors don't even meet the minimal requirements anymore. As of ptach 2.0 all i5 processors are now off the table, so if you got a i5 I wouldn't bother even trying to run this game anymore, unless you want to melt your processor and heat sync to your Mobo, and potentially hard freeze your computer when playing.
Also, it should be noted that CD Red designed this update and only tested it while running it on a SDD hardrive. Basically, they want you installing on it an SDD, which is absurd in my opinion. You can, most probably get away with running it on a HDD, if you got crazy good hardware to back it up. In your case you should probably try running this game from a SDD.
performance appears to be cut especially on the cpu part, if your cpu is old you might run into problems now, but impossible to tell unless you try
So no,, it will not take years off at all.
