Cyberpunk multiplayer?
I'm pretty much a new player, just bought the game 2 weeks ago and am still on cloud 9 because of how amazing it is. One benefit of being a late comer is you bypass all those headaches with the launch, bugs, etc.

Anyway, as I'm enjoying the game and DLC, I'm wondering is there any multiplayer side to CP? There's so much potentional, imagine full on 10 v 10 team deathmatch, CTF, etc, all with out netrunner hacker builds and so on. Not sure how the slow time Karensikov would work in MP but overall I feel like there could be a so much fun to be had if the balance was done right.

Is there any MP out there for CP? Or is this masterpiece singleplayer only?

Single player only

It is a SP only game. MP was originally planned, but due to the many bugs and glitches at launch CDPR had to focus on their resources into fixing the game into a playable state. This would require them pouring all their resources to the point where some planned features were cut, including MP.

MP wasnt so much planned as much as it was a potential thing, which they immediately noped out of.

First, they wanted integrated multiplayer
Then, they were going to add a separate multiplayer version (i think like GTA online? Same world map, but separate instance, separate saves)

After trying they found they just couldn't get it into the RED Engine.
So they dropped it.
Now, they are migrating to Unreal and say that multiplayer will be an integrated part of their franchises from now on going forward.
So, not for this one no. But the sequel, Orion, yeah, think they want multiplayer there and the next witcher game.

Multiplayer would be awful and a waste of development resources. Not every game needs it and it’s so annoying to have people constantly bringing it up 🙄

It could be good, done right.
Separate version/instance of the game world. Separate save file.
Same map, same type of gameplay. But no story as such.

No point in capture the flag, death match stuff tho. That's not what this game needs for multiplayer.
That's like asking for a sit down roleplay tea party in call of duty lol.

Multiplayer for cyberpunk would be grouping up in a Crew, to complete proper gigs.
Like in edgerunners, or the tabletop.
Using Afterlife and other clubs as if they were lobbies to meet your mates.
Having job boards that the leader could pick a gig from.
Different types of gigs, differing difficulty, showing up at different levels of Cred.
Do the gig, get paid, earn cred.
Get better gigs lol.
And have proper Rolls.
Use eddies to rent a place to live. Fill it with stuff. Buy a bike/car/Metro Pass.
Fight NPC gangs. Form your own gangs. Work for the corps. Work for the cops.

I can see how that would be really cool. However, in my honest opinion I’d want to still see them focus heavily on the single player aspect of the game mainly. My main gripe with gta5 specifically the online aspect, was how much fun online was and how many activities you could do that you couldn’t do in the single player aspect of the game. Idk if this has changed as it’s been so long since I’ve played it. If CDPR does do multiplayer in the next game then I hope they still make the single player aspect just as fun and interactive as the multiplayer. Also have the single player and multiplayer online reqs separated appropriately, not making the game have an always online requirement which I am sure wouldn’t be a problem for them as it hasn’t been a problem before with this company.
