Ray Tracing in Cyberpunk with an AMD GPU is actually pretty good :O
Just got a RX 7900GRE and TBH thought ray tracing in Cyberpunk would suck I and run like crap the plan was try it once then just play it on ultra.

But kinda impressed getting around 50fps Ultra with ray tracing ultra 1440p FSR set to quality it can drop down to low to mid 40s at times but spends most of the time around the low 50s and still feels pretty smooth then with fluid motion frames enabled in the driver 80-100fps and the extra input lag feels barely noticeable.

I know NVIDIA has better Ray Tracing support but AMD Ray Tracing in Cyberpunk not as bad as everyone makes out.

indeed. I have an 7900XTX and it doesn't drop below 60fps unless im in the city centre. Dogtown is said to be harder on frames, but i don't drop below 60 there. (Though im at 1080 rather than 1440)

For the price of AMD cards, the performance is actually pretty respectable IMO.

I disagree : i have a 7900XT and RT cost 3x more GPU power, PT is x6.
Even on 1080p, you will often drop below 60fps.

Fluid Motion creates stutterring and screen tearing on my side (with Freesync).

But a 4090 is around x2 for RT and x4 for PT.
I bought AMD because i know i prefer high resolution than RT...

Yeah and still no FSR 3 in the game to lift up the performance for AMD Cards... its ridiculous.

The real difference ,whit ray tracing,is made by the ray recostruction which unfortunately AMD owners cannot benefit from

RR adds tons of ghosting to moving objects and makes textures more blurry. It’s not worth it

Yes it's not perfect in CP, I'm not sure why, but in AW2, for example, it's something incredible. Remaining on CP, those smudges that are obtained, especially on the faces of the NPCs, do not ruin the experience. But the difference in quality of the reflections is incredible, for me it is worth it

I would suspect those are engine limitations in CP 2077, I'm pretty sure that the reason for moving to UE isnt just the difficulty of building your own engine but also to provide for new technologies and having to integrate them into an existing engine.

I've read somewhere online that one of the devs stated that they were waiting for the release of FSR 3.1 and now that it has been released they are working on implementing it properly. If you check AMD's website, you will see that Cyberpunk 2077 is still listed there as one of the games that will soon feature FSR 3.1, you simply have to be patient like the rest of us.

everytime the game loads and i see the amd software logo it annoys me, because i do not understand how they are not able to figure it out together...
hopefully your right.

my 7900 xt is all over the place when rt is enabled, i cant use it ....idk why the gre is out performing the xt

7900 xtx - works good apperantly
7900 xt- wtf? i thought this was in-between those 2
7900 gre - works fine apparently
