I am unable to finish "Send In The Clowns" side quest because of cops

When the enemies starts shooting me and I shoot back, for some reason I get two stars and I get SWARMED by cops, and I am unable to keep going with the mission... Anybody else have/had this problem?

Same here. I just killed cops for awhile and then suddenly, the mission cleared. got the no stars sound and was able to finish the mission. No idea what happened. Reloaded save and the same thing happened.

Did either of you accidentally hit a civilian with a stray bullet?

You can also try using a silencer maybe or sticking to melee to deal with the enemies.
And as EJR said avoid civvies.
Maybe a PAX weapon if you want to play it safe.

Just be sure to shoot only enemies.

For those that have this problem in the future, I had the same issue. Best way to solve it is to just hack the enemies to death so you don't have to worry

I dont understand; are you complaining about you cant full auto into a crowd withtout beeing chased by police?

When you help a bandit with a robbery you can't really complain that police wants a word with you, right?

I have never seen this mission fail. Ultimately, I think Bozo can cope on his own. Help him a little bit, but be careful not to hit any bystanders.
