Guide to Downgrade Cyberpunk 2077 (v2.12a) Without Losing Mods
If you're looking to downgrade Cyberpunk 2077 to version 2.12a and maintain all your mods, this guide will walk you through the steps carefully, so you don't mess up anything along the way!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before You Begin – Important Notes:

1. Storage Requirements:

- The main game is 60GB , Phantom Liberty DLC is 30GB , and Redmod is under 100MB but contains over 4,000 files. Ensure you have enough storage space available for the downloads.

2. Disable Auto-Updates:

- To prevent accidental updates, set the game to "Only update when I launch it" in Steam.
- Go offline or use mod managers to launch the game and avoid forced updates.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Open Steam Console:

- Press WIN + R, then paste the following command and press Enter:
steam://open/console

- This will open Steam with a new tab titled "Console.

Step 2:
In the Steam Console, you’ll need to input the following commands to download the previous versions of the game. Make sure to copy and paste these exactly:

1. - Main Cyberpunk 2077 Game Files (required for everyone)
download_depot 1091500 1091501 3807385820978085162

2. - Redmod DLC:
download_depot 1091500 2060310 1800196103221542454

3. Phantom Liberty DLC (if you own it):
download_depot 2138330 2138330 5094071097429923087

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 3: Copy Files to Main Game Folder:

1. Once the downloads are complete, navigate to:

- \Steam\steamapps\content\app_1091500 (for the main game and Redmod)
- \Steam\steamapps\content\app_2138330 (for Phantom Liberty)

Copy the contents from the depot folders to your main Cyberpunk 2077 game directory.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 4: Loading Your Save Files

- If you’ve played after the update, use your old save files when loading the game. Otherwise, any modded items might be deleted from your inventory.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By following these steps, you should be able to safely downgrade your game to v2.12a and preserve your mods. Enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 without the worry of losing your customizations! If this guide helped you, remember to thank Reddit users Reteleur and fly_casual_ for the original tips!

1. Download this manifest: nexusmods (dot) com/cyberpunk2077/mods/16602
2. "Download" fake update in Steam (file writing error at the very end)
3. Uncheck "read-only" flag in manifest file
4. Steam fake updated well done
5. Turn back "read-only" flag in manifest file
6. Play in 2.12 version with cloud saves with achievements
