100C hotspot temp on AMD GPU after this update
This happening with anyone else?

If I run the game 1440p Ultrawide on psycho settings with RT off it's 94C hotspot(it was 90C before the update which is actually normal), turn on RT and the temps hover around 97-100C(before it was 94C with RT enabled) with max fan speed..

That never happened before this update.. with Path Tracing enabled (Yes the card can handle it and get 55FPS with FSR, even before the update)

using a 7900XTX

Anyone else having this issue?

Noticed hot spot temps on the 7900series get kinda high as well on the default settings my hotspot temp for my 7900gre avg temp is around 70c hot spot can be 85-90c...

have you tried undervolting your GPU and setting a custom fan curve in the drivers?

It's easy to do and wont hurt your graphics card if you just do the UV to much all that will happen is it might crash in which case just bump the voltage back up by 10-15mv until it's stable again.

My 7900 GRE default voltage is 1050mv i have mine set to 990mv dropped my hot spot temps by around 10c.

i have nitro+ XTX also my gpu is like 65 66 max 67C and hotspot like 89 88C and also im playing 4k with ray tracing on (no path) with xess 1.3 ultra quality and ultra settings( idont use fsr3 because it looks so bad really 2.1 is better than that why they didnt add 3.1? dont know really)

They are Nvidia shills probably, AMD gets the back burner on things, everyone and their mother should be using FSR3.1 it's much better..

Actually after some manual tweaking with undervolting it seems to be fine, back to 90C even with path tracing on, honestly though I shouldn't have to do that, lol ..didn't have to before this update..

Also with FSR3 being ♥♥♥♥, better off using the beta Driver with AFMF2 https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-AFMF2-TECH-Preview.html ..the games gonna complain about it being "out of date" but FSR2 + AFMF2 actually works better I get a solid 65 FPS with psycho settings with path tracing.

That's what im doing tech preview driver AFMF2 and XESS set to quality looks loads better than FSR3+ frame gen.
